Decorative brick gateposts to a house. The capstones are impressed with the house name, and the posts are made up of squint bricks.

I love all types of art and admire creative people since I have no creativity at all. We flew into London a few hours earlier and I was trying to stay awake so I decided to check out the murals of Brick Lane in East London. I exited from the Tube station, took a wrong turn, and ended up near the East London Mosque. Interesting area. I got my bearings and found an amazing number of murals and paintings, not just on Brick Lane but in surrounding parks. Absolutely amazing and a great place to check out - and then have a curry afterwards!
I took these photos in East London in October 2016.
She did not mind to pose, after she mentioned she likes the bricks of the buildings so much and after a little thought about the perspective and light.

I came home to find these sparrows pecking at the mortar. They were hanging on to tiny ledges between the bricks.
This segment of road was part of the 1926 to 1930 alignment of Route 66 near Alburn, Illinois.
After Route 66 was realigned in 1930, this section briefly reverted to its State Route 4 designation before being abandoned in a 1932 relocation of the State road. About 1.5 miles of the section, known as the Auburn Brick Road, was incorporated into the 1932 modifications and resurfaced by hand with brick at the same time.
Today, this section of brick road is listed n the National Register of Historic Places.
