This is a series of shots of a large alligator eating what looks to be the remains of another alligator. Thanks to "Let there be light(Andy)" for pointing out this gator as he swam toward us. Otherwise, I might have missed these shots. Warning - graphic pictures.
July 26,2020. Alligators have plenty of lily pads to hide in now so be careful walking along the trails neat to the water !
Too many names Anhinga, Snakebird, Water Turkey, American Darter.
Anhinga is a Brazilian Tupi indian language word meaning snake bird when swimming only the neck and head show looks like a snake about to strike.
