Spots still open for the Texas Landscape Safari this Fall. Come to Texas and join us this October.

I loved this guy...such a character! Granted, this shot doesn't quite have the punch of the previous shot I posted...but he looks so proud of himself. Either that or wondering how he was going to get it down into his gullet!

The gator looks a little full. Lucky for us. A bigger lens would have been nice today.

Had a stare off with about an Eight Foot alligator. Sun was shining so bright this day that I think he looked for the shade. Brazos Bend State Park is famous for its alligators that sun right off the trails and walkways.

I was able to catch a few Whistling Ducks chilling on a log while hiking at Brazos Bend State Park in Needville Texas. They were keeping a very watchful eye on me. About 5 minutes later, 5 more ducks landed on the log, I would assume they were having a conference about the alligator problem at the state park hahaha

We visited my parents this weekend. We took one morning to see the wildlife at Brazos Bend State Park. This guy was growling...perhaps warning the other alligators that this was his spot.

There wasn't much light. Shot at ISO 3200 to get 1/125 wide open (f5.6). I probably wouldn't have even considered this shot with film or my early digital cameras.

This is one of two great horned owlets that live currently at Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, TX. It was the fuzziest, cutest little owl I've ever seen. I wanted to hug it!
