I just undid her braids and pinned it up in the back for a "bob". She needs a wash.

Excuse my random background of some dolls on my shelf. :P I didn't feel like setting up paper or fabric or something. (And yes, I do see that one section of Believix Power Tecna's hair that's randomly in Musa's face. I don't know what happened. I'm just noticing it now that I'm uploading this.)

So I decided to try curling Bloomix Layla's hair by braiding it into tons of tiny little braids, running it under really hot water, and waiting a day for it to dry... but it didn't work. I tried undoing one of the braids this morning and it was pretty much the same as before, just slightly wavier. So disappointing!

But I actually do really like how the braids themselves look so I think I'm just gonna leave her hair like this. It's cute! I should probably redo some of them-- especially the ones near the top, but eh, it took me an hour and a half to do them in the first place (I'm the worst at braiding, okay?) and I don't feel like doing it again.

What do you guys think?

And that's all I'm going to say about this one...!

ODC-Braid or Plat

I couldn't find a braid or plat today, so I made one with my own hair. My little Coolpix W300, I have discovered is wonderful for doing selfies of any kind.

Suula is one of the few female glatorians to have earned herself a reputation. She was once the second Glatorian of the Jungle Tribe. She fights with her bare hands and her barbed braid in a fast paced martial art style. Her thin armor covers her legs and forearms with poisonned needles akin to some deadly plants of Bara Magna desert.

This MOC was made for the #Bionicle20ans collaborative project.

As Bionicle turns 20 this year, the Bionifigs community will celebrate these two decades of biological chronicles through all of 2021.

Each month will be dedicated to a year in the history of Bionicle - in September we focus on 2009.

Day 1, Photo 2 of Autumn Polaroid Week

Always wanted to do a waterfall braid and it finally came out great.

This attempt came out better than the previous. Still could use smaller sections to make it look more tighter but not bad...

Pavilion built 1901; extended 1930 and 1992.

In 1890 the proprietors of the Braid Estate formed the Braid Estate Recreation Ground consisting of a bowling green and a tennis club with their associated pavilions "for the use and enjoyment of the feuars within the area of the Braid Estate ". The cost of building the facility was met by the said feuars.

At the first meeting of the club in 1892 the Chairman and first President of the Club proposed that the club should apply for admission to the Edinburgh and Leith Bowling Association. The proposal was passed and the green was opened for play for the first time on Saturday 7 May 1892.

A fine new pavilion was built and opened in 1901 on the east side of the green. This pavilion provided a fitting backdrop for an international match that was played at Braid in 1908 and on that occasion the famous cricketer Dr W.G. Grace was on the England side.

Braids On Black

This was taken in Braidburn Valley, the neat square of trees outlining the area once used as an auditorium. I later took a shot of that evening's sunset, layered it over the top, and tweaked a bit. :-)

This aerial photograph captures the intricate patterns of a braided river flowing through the Icelandic landscape. The river's silvery streams weave through dark volcanic sands, creating a striking contrast. The surrounding terrain includes patches of green fields and barren land, with distant mountains under a cloudy sky.

I corsi d'acqua argentati del fiume si intrecciano con le sabbie vulcaniche scure, creando un contrasto sorprendente. This little girl was sitting in front of me listening to an open stage concert. She reminded me of how much I've always loved to braid my granddaughters' hair.

It's almost two years since I met them and I still don't know when we'll meet again...

This time I french braided both sides and left the rest n a ponytail.

Hadley has ropes hanging on a wall in the garage. I chose this one cause the plait was frayed and you could see the individual strands.
