And I've come to know the wish list of my father
I've come to know the shipwrecks where he's been
I've come to wish allow
Among the overdressed crowd
Come to witness now the sinking of this ship
Throwing pennies from the sea top next to it
And I've come to roam the forest
Past the village
With a dozen lazy horses in my cart
I've come here to get high
To do more than just get by
I've come to test the timber of my heart
Oh I've come to test the timber of my heart
And I've come
To be untroubled in my seeking
And I've come
To see that nothing is for not
I've come to reach out blind
To reach forward and behind
For the more I seek
The more I'm sought
Yea the more I seek
The more I'm sought
And I've come to meet the sheriff
And his posse
To offer him the broad side of my jaw
I've come here to get broke
And maybe bum a smoke
We'll go drinking two towns over after all
Oh we'll go drinking two towns over after all
And I've come to meet the legendary takers
I've only come to ask them for a lot
Aw they say I come with less
Than I should rightfully possess
I say: The more I buy
The more I'm bought
And the more I'm bought
The less I cost
And I've come
To take their servants and their surplus
And I've come
To take their rain coats and their speed
I've come to get my fill
To ransack and spill
I've come to take the harvest for the seed
I've come to take the harvest for the seed
And I've come to know the manger you sleep in
I've come to be the stranger that you keep
I've come from down the road
And my footsteps never slowed
Before we met I knew we'd meet
Before we met I knew we'd meet
And I've come here to ignore you cries and heartaches
I've come to closely listen to you sing
I've come here to insist
That I leave here with a kiss
I've come to say exactly what I mean
And I mean so many things
And you've come
To know me stubborn as a bitcher
And you've come
To know me thankless as a guest
But will you recognize my face
When god's awful grace
Strips me of my jacket and my vest
And reveals all the treasure in my chest.
my favorite song. period.
...or should that be Braided and Balanced? Well who's to say? But they look pretty cool (fella I met online cooked them up for me) and while no one ever comes out and says it directly, the implication is that everything sounds better grounded. Me? I'm just trying to make a fashion statement ;- )
By the way (for the curious), those snappy headphone cables are connected to a pair of HIFIMan HE-4XXs on one end and a Schitt Jotunheim on the other. And just to the left and clearly out of focus, is a Oppo HA-2 SE Headphone Amplifier. Sounds pretty good connected to an iPhone. Sadly, like ‘65 Impalas, they don't make them any more.

I finally learned how to tuck in a french braid. All I needed were more longer and sturdier bobby pins.
My boss has many talents, the least of which is the ability to braid hair in many different ways. At a recent campaign meeting, she did these braids.
July 8, 2007. Fatimata comes from Eastern Burkina Faso, but has traveled to the capital, Ouagadougou, to visit relatives. She takes the opportunity of a brief respite from cooking and laundry to get her hair braided.

The first tram shelter was erected here in 1899 and replaced in the 1930's by the building which is seen here.
In the days when motor cars were relatively rare the city's trams carried 150 million passengers every year. The network continued to expand until 1936 when the Braids trams were extended south to Fairmilehead. At its height Edinburgh Corporation ran 360 double-deck trams on 28 routes, most of them being built in the city, at Shrubhill Works.
I have a thing for them. I just love them!. She never lets me braid her hair, but today she was excited because we were going Ice-Skating, so I talked her into it hehe. I'm pretty proud of the result, considering she kept moving while I was making them.
Not sure about this pic, but I have a weakness for back portratis and braids so yeah, I decided to upload it.

I never got the name of this lovely lady, as her family, when interviewed, couldn't even count the number of kids they had. The lady in charge just looked up from the baby she was nursing, surprised at my question, and looked around her at the heaps and heaps of babies and young, dusty boys and then looked at me and shook her head.
Naming them all would have taken all day and a lot of effort.
This girl has beautiful braids, though, so now she is braid-girl. And a pretty necklace, partly made out of ancient pearls, which the Tamashek absolutely love. You can also see a pretty typical leather tent in the background. They color the leather red by rubbing ochre rocks against it, and the same rocks can incidentally be used as make-up, too! I was told that women color the skin under their eyes red when they menstruate. Sort of a "keep away" message, I suppose.
This girl's family are truly semi-sedentarized nomads, if that makes any sense to anyone. They spend most of the year in the town of Menaka (poor goats!), and move to walking distance outside of town during the cold season.

O ano está acabando e o ENEM é amanhã!!! Como não seria bom estar estudando hoje, o que seria mais relaxante pra mim? Fazer as unhas! Fui logo testando meu talento nas tranças nas unhas e pronto! kk o problema dessa nail art é definitivamente a quantidade de camadas, que deixa a unha fofona uó..já a mão direita...fica pra próxima! To achieve this elegant and dramatic braided style, follow the steps below:
First shampoo hair with MIZANI Botanifying Shampoo which is great for cleansing but gentle enough to use every day as it cleanses the hair and scalp while restoring a natural moisture balance. Then rinse and gently towel blot dry before applying MIZANI Moisturfuse Conditioner which has natural oils and botanical ingredients that deeply moisturise dry hair.
Once the hair has been thoroughly rinsed and towel dried apply MIZANI Thermastrength Style Serum to the hair section by section. Thermastrength Style Serum is a botanically enriched, heat activated serum that protects from heat and helps improve the hair’s tensile strength. So it is great for blowdrying hair straight or using with thermal straighteners. Once the hair has been blow dried straight, secure it in a ponytail at the crown of the head with a band. It’s always best to use a smooth band to reduce breakage. Now apply MIZANI Shimmer Reflects Gel to the length of the ponytail before braiding it. Shimmer Reflects Gel is an alcohol free, medium hold gel that gives a non flaking hold which is essential to achieving this style. Then wrap the braid around the head securing to the head with grips. The longer your hair, the more bends and swirls you can create with the braid. Adding extensions is a great way of immediately creating extra length and therefore more dramatic effect. To finish, mist the style with MIZANI Shimmer Reflects Spritz. The gold mica in the product creates a great natural shine.’
I learned how to french braid my own hair! Very excited. I have lamented for a long while about the fact that I couldn't french braid my own hair. When I tried, I kept ending up with a dutch braid, where it looks like the braid is sitting on top, rather than half hidden/incorporated into the rest of the hair. It just wasn't clicking. The problem was, the strand on the outside needs to go OVER the strand in the middle. Not under, which is what I kept doing all those years.
