I have a thing for them. I just love them!. She never lets me braid her hair, but today she was excited because we were going Ice-Skating, so I talked her into it hehe. I'm pretty proud of the result, considering she kept moving while I was making them.
Not sure about this pic, but I have a weakness for back portratis and braids so yeah, I decided to upload it.

July 8, 2007. Fatimata comes from Eastern Burkina Faso, but has traveled to the capital, Ouagadougou, to visit relatives. She takes the opportunity of a brief respite from cooking and laundry to get her hair braided.

Chotlo, I really love some of the french braids that are in your photo stream. Some of the braids on Flickr look like works of art. I wish I could braid something more than a french or dutch braid...

My boss has many talents, the least of which is the ability to braid hair in many different ways. At a recent campaign meeting, she did these braids.
I was getting tired of regular buns so I braided my ponytail and pinned it using 4 decorative hairpins as I also got bored using small claw clips to hold my hair in place.
Jo: Yes this is my hair. Yes I took the picture myself. I had 6 braids in at the time but I think their is only 5 of them in the picture.
When I took this shot, I thought it was a pair of pretty little girls with braids; then I realised it was mother & daughter. I felt quite bad about taking it afterwards.
