The Process of Creation.
Before you start make sure the length of the thread is about 4times the length of the finished piece.. However if you are doubling up the strings, make sure it's 8 times the length
Depending on how you are braiding, if you are braiding/knoting close and tight 4 times the length, if you are going to have lots of space in between then you can use less cord.
To put on certain headresses, they make a small braid in the back of the head and push a stick through to keep it in place.

this is the second one of these i am making. i figured out how to get more of a rounded-ness to it. the other seemed to blocky to me.
