The braids are actually sewn into the hair, which is tightly plaited in cornrows onto the head. The things women do to look good!
but i didn't keep it in. every time i fixed my hair this morning, i photographed. then took it out because it didn't feel good. i need my head to feel good for a style to last all day.
Braid House, also known as the Hermitage of Braid House, or simply Hermitage House, is my second favourite grand villa. It was built in 1785 for Charles Gordon of Cluny, and in 1938 the entire site was presented to the city. I do wonder, though, how cold and dank it must be through the wintertime.
Author Ian Rankin described the surroundings as "...a ribbon of countryside walk between Braid Road, in Morningside, and Liberton Road, in the city’s southeast corner ... a great place for a picnic or for dog-walking ... a vast expanse of play-park for kids of all ages. This is the Danish Braid from the book "The Best Bread Ever" by Charles Van Over. I did the variation with his secret filling that includes raspberry jam and cream cheese. I think the cream cheese isn't really needed. I would've like a bit more raspberry jam. The dough recipe is excellent. It turns out very flaky, as you can see from all the holes on the edges.
My first french braid quilt.
It is too big for my usual quilt hanger so today we put an aircraft wire hanger up against the ceiling and I can finally display the quilt.
When I take this one down I can display another quilt on the regualr hanger which you can see poking out the sides.
The braid is normally manufactured in SS 304 wire. However SS 316 and 321 braids can also be manufactured.

I spotted this river from the plane on the way from North to South Island and liked the way it was made up of little interwoven channels. We're not used to this type of river.
