Rocking the braid :)

Throughout our hikes through Palos forest preserve, we would find one tree wrapped around another. Occasionally, we would find that the second tree (the "wrappee"), would be missing just leaving the twisted braid of "wrapper".

I decided to braid my locks and take a photo underneath our beautiful grapefruit tree.

As you may have noticed from previous photos, little Gingerbread Horse has pretty wild hair. My wife is trying to train it to lay down to one side, so each time we visit her she gets braids put in her mane.

my aunt came over today before my piano competition and braided my hair. i wish i wore a toga with it.

Kristen Lock used 3 packs of Toyokalon synthetic hair to achieve these cornrow tree braids. What is great about using synthetic hair is that it is so inexpensive! You can pay a great deal of money on human hair which comes out looking BEAUTIFUL, or you can save some money and use synthetic hair. The synthetic hair will tangle quicker then the human hair but so depending on what is more important to you you will either do synthetic hair or human hair.

it's a braid day. :)

Katrina braided my hair and taught me how

This is the method for making the 4-strand braid as taught to me by my weaving teacher in Potosi, Bolivia. The braid is made on the warp end loops of the weaving and works best on ends that are no longer than 20 cm.
