Kristen Lock used 3 packs of Toyokalon synthetic hair to achieve these cornrow tree braids. What is great about using synthetic hair is that it is so inexpensive! You can pay a great deal of money on human hair which comes out looking BEAUTIFUL, or you can save some money and use synthetic hair. The synthetic hair will tangle quicker then the human hair but so depending on what is more important to you you will either do synthetic hair or human hair.
Throughout our hikes through Palos forest preserve, we would find one tree wrapped around another. Occasionally, we would find that the second tree (the "wrappee"), would be missing just leaving the twisted braid of "wrapper".

I like to show everyone the versatility that can be used with tree braids. It is not just for straight or wet and wavy hair. (This was human hair.) Any hair that you want to use you can use! So experiment try new things and enjoy being beautiful!
