Quite often little children of street vendors, who are not yet in school, will stay
with their parents during the day. They often are very creative in finding new ways
to stay entertained. These three decided to see if they could become a box set. :)
When I was little, this box sat up in my Mom's closet. I always wondered what was in it. It was a special box. When I grew tall enough to take a peak, I was so thrilled. Every now and again I would reach up and take a look inside, careful that no one caught me looking.

Finally Aniera has arrived on August 30th, it was a pretty hectic day so I didn't know she arrived until 7 in the afternoon.
Just a quick little box, for fun. Lacewood sides, Zebrawood on top. Tiniest hinges I've ever seen, but they seem fine. The box is 3 inches by 4 inches by about 3 and half inches tall.
I really like the look of Lacewood's endgrain, so I left the end grain showing on the front and back, as a feature, rather than mitre the corners like I might normally do.

The town where I used to live in SC was in watermelon country. This roadside stand near where I used to live operated on trust. Just stop and pick out a melon and put your money in the Honesty Box.

In addition to the quite fantastic gift bag, all attendees got ten raffle tickets to cram into whatever box(es) they wanted for the raffle. There were magnets, t-shirts, watches, the delivery truck, the chest of drawers with the lamp, an apron. I jammed half of mine in the truck box and the other half in the chest of drawers box.
