The box already made me laugh.
The picture of the actual toy turned out crap with flash, so i'll post more when i've caught up here.

You know, this just isn't right. They've been stuck -- bound up -- like this for years, stashed semi-hidden behind two abandoned buildings in the north end of the Pacific View Mall. They can't even whisper "I need a drink. I'm so thirsty." It's that same no-use area I've gotten busted in for taking photos of planters, cracks in the asphalt and rust-stained paint.
“Oh we’d all like to be beside the seaside, Oh we’d all like to be beside the sea!’.
…And now we all can be with this rather handsome ocean box, illustrating a wonderful world at sea. A rainbow boat happily bobbling along, leaping fishieees, and a lighthouse create an idyllic scene . A superb visual treat, and a perfect place to store all your small treasures.
Box Tengor 52/2 with Ultrafine Xtreme 400 film. You can really tell that I like old barns. :) Sadly, these box cameras sometimes have a habit of rolling the film on askew and the backing paper will fail to cover the edge/flange of the roll, creating light leaks along the edge.
However, I do like the clouds and I think that a little burning could really bring those clouds out and make this picture shine!
Watched the zany Portland, Oregon, Soap Box Derby, (at Mt. Tabor Park) before I had to go to work today. The derby made me laugh!
Spectral Questions of the Body-
When I imagine your body,
spectral questions float: how the cage
of bone protects your heart,
how surrounded, I imagine it like gel
in a body of water
or was it how a bird sounded
when it cried a song near a river.
If I could touch your body,
I would go for the neck
where air meets air,
despair swapped for light
flashes, cusps of cut lavender,
cups of the silks you may have touched,
the new breathing.
This is how I imagine your body:
weightless and surfacing,
a changing shape
of grace and light
to mirror a chant of my own
full of spectral images
with all animals and angels
calling out your name.
Each box fits exactly 122 rolls of film and each roll of film has about 36 exposures. This is a total of around 4,400 photographs per box.
