37415 passes Talacre signal box with the 0917 Crewe-Bangor on Thursday 31-07-1997. The signal box is a London and North Western Railway design 4 opened in 1903. The box was moved from Gronant near Prestatyn. It closed on 23-03-2018 with control passing to the Wales Rail Operating Centre.

The Thalhimers box has significance because my mother worked there for the bulk of my young childhood. I was sad to see it was too damaged to keep but that's what the camera is for!
Yeah, I'm moving to BC. So I decided to take pictures inside some of the boxes. This one is the cutest. It forbids putting the box in the trash.
I'm getting my cheeks pierced tomorrow!

On June 24, 2023, TRAINS magazine held a photo charter at the Silver Creek & Stephenson Railroad of Freeport, Illinois. The line operates over a rebuilt segment of the Milwaukee Road’s Racine & Southwestern Division, which once linked Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with Savanna, Illinois (it was abandoned in 1982). Power for the day was 2-truck Heisler No. 2, built in 1912 for the Louise Lumber Company of Hawkes, Mississippi. This locomotive later worked for the Santee River Hardwood Company in South Carolina, then in tourist service in South Carolina and Indiana before coming to the Silver Creek & Stephenson in 1982. The railroad is a project of the Stephenson County Old Engine Club, and the locomotive was put into operation at Freeport in 1986. The group has also constructed a replica depot, engine house, and has assembled a nice collection of vintage internal-combustion diesels and cabooses. Thanks to Kevin Gillam and the rest of the TRAINs staff for a great outing.
So I finally finished a batch of mosaics. Have a few more that should be ready soon. I always wait for the grout to set for a couple of days before I put a clear coat on them. This is a trinket box.
Looks like a male Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina carolina) or Three-toed Box Turtle (Terrapene carolina triunguis)

Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

Not toooo much done yet, but I've got here: 1 spinning bin, 1 yarn bin, 8 smaller boxes of books and yarn, 1 coffee grinder and 1 air filter. Long way to go.
This is my sweet little boy, Sampson. He's not the brightest crayon in the box lol, but what he lacks in brain power he makes up for in love. :) And playfulness! lol

Problems with a guide roller on the wench was the cause to abort the operation. Greenpeace, partnered with teams of independent scientists, has been investigating the environmental effects of the oil spill and toxic dispersants used to break up the four million barrels of crude oil spilled in the worst environmental disaster in United States history.

Anti-Dwelling Box is a deceptively simple cube articulated with large triangular openings, providing views into an interior in which a smaller cube is nested. The interior forms a mirror image of the exterior, an effect that suggests an infinite regress of forms within the house's walls. The configuration evokes the complex pictorial systems of a mandala, indicating Mozuna's interest in the symbolism of esoteric traditions within Buddhism and Shinto. The strategy of doubling and reflection evoke the architect's understanding of the cosmos - in a cryptic 1978 manifesto he declared the intention to produce a cosmological space consisting 'of various mirrored or double-mirrored images. The space can be regarded as a four dimensional space-model of the "elliptic universe" or the "nested universe".'
