This week I've gone for colour more than detail, so the subject is my post box with a yellow, flowering, bush in the background :-)
I've cropped and sharpened a little, other than that (and the frame) it's right out of the box!
The tiny Band Box Diner in Elliot Park, Downtown Minneapolis. Once part of a local chain, this pre-fabricated steel building was designed by the local Butler Manufacturing Company and opened in 1929.
Pochade Box - made of walnut scraps and baltic birch plywood. John built it so I could slip my masterson's stay wet palette into it instead of having to use plexi to put my paints on.
The treat boxes I made for all my clients. I used the group photo of the dogs in their superhero costumes on the top and put my moos all around the sides. Special clients got a full size copy of their dog in his/her costume.

The "adult" section of the Art Show is traditionally nicknamed "The Cock Box". The sign was mysteriously modified a few minutes ago.

The only clues that I have so far are these. On the back of one of the boxes there is some hand writing:
“Decoration Day Procession” which later became Veterans Day.

This box lid was inspired by some Pysanka egg designs and i wanted to capture the feel of them in glass. Its not the largest box I have ever done, but it was one of the most difficult and intricate. The tree in the diamond in the center is only 1.5 inches high. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.
My jewelry box. I chose this object for a topic because I like the dark and light color combinations of green on it.
I found my old memory box today. I knew I had brought it with me when we first moved in but I hadn't seen it for about 2 years. It is full of love notes, poems, photos, tickets to days out, cards and even the very first rose he had ever bought me. It's a little crispy now but still in tact and hasn't lost any of it's beautiful colour.
We look so young in some of the photos and the cute little poems we used to write to each other are so cute. I'll put this in with my wedding scrap book I'm currently making. It's nice to keep hold of all the wonderful parts of a relationship and keep them locked away in a secret box, it reminds you of all the good times.
