... can easly be turned into a box and a lid

.. my design, as far as I know... but any reference will be welcome....

2 (1 for box, 1 for lid) square 15x15 cm. regular copy paper... I use 80gr. and 90gr. the second is suggested for the box

written instructions (more or less) in the kusudama cube writing.

Decoration made with paper left by cutting an A4 sheet in 2 squares... so you will just need 2 A4 paper for two duo color box.... and only 1 sheet for a single color box (obviously)... this box is very good for give aways in any occasion (espiacilly candies and confetti) and also as a toothfairy (or mouse depending on traditions) box..

I wish you a week full of colors!.... (north Italy in particular: wish you also a SUNNY week) :-))))

Box office at the Echo Drive-in Theater in Roosevelt, Utah one of just a few drive-in's remaining in Utah. Since this theater uses RF transmission to your FM radio for sound there are no speaker poles or lines for parking spaces -- looks a little weird but it has everything else even a small playground in front of the screen.

How do creative professionals who are paid to think outside the box express themselves? At Corey McPherson Nash, we do it inside the box—a shallow, glass-topped, wooden box, to be exact.

14 years ago we resuscitated the quaint craft of shadow-box making and turned it into a company ritual. The rules are simple: Don't go outside the box, and don't put anything living inside the box. But the object is ambitious: to provide a hands-on tutorial in Corey McPherson Nash's organizational culture. "Our basic operating principle is to define broad goals, supply a little structure, and then give people the freedom to do creative work."

With the shadow boxes, that principle has produced wildly diverse visions. Among the completed boxes: a vivid frightscape, complete with a crank for animating dancing-devil cutouts; a meditation on "what it could have been," featuring a loose marble and a list of design possibilities; and Tom Corey's own taxonomy of "bad seeds."

Underground utilities are nice but the do generate lots of boxes. Utah County, Utah.

Diese Kamera wurde von Agfa auch als "Vier-Mark-Box" beworben, man erhielt sie, wenn man vier Mark mit den Prägebuchstaben A, G F und nocheinmal A dafür auf den ladentisch legte!

The box on the bottom is the one it arrived in. The blue box is the one it was wrapped in, and the bit on top is the actual gift. It's a way cool cutting board from Anna and family for Christmas. But did it have to come in a box 20 sizes too big? :-p

As told by Kristen - the Teacher

I am a college student in an education program and have been working in a second grade classroom in Rochester, NY. The students and I feel very strongly about helping those in need. We came across this site one day during a study of Africa and the kids instantly became eager to help. We have collected the following supplies: Pens/Pencils, Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils/Paints, Construction Paper, Scissors/Glue/Tape/Staplers, Notebooks/Folders/Filler Paper, Classroom Decorations, Learning Flashcards, Pencil Cases, and other various supplies.

This is a photo of my class and the box of supplies they have collected. So glad we could help!

To me Urban exploring is more than just the location alone. The people you explore with are equally important, you're a team and sometimes it's important to put human presence in a few frames to make it that much more personal.

- outfit perfeito, SUPER detalhado!! *0* E ela é uma doll sem acessórios, veio tudo nela! XD E os sapatinhos ao lado. A cora estava um pouco descosturando da fita, por ser de metal, pesada. Mas colei ela e agora não está caindo! o/

- make dela é adorável! Delicada e fofa e acho que fica com um ar de menina moe, super fofa mesmo! <3 Os lábios parecem formar um 3 invertido e a sombra dos olhos dá um ar ligeiramente caído, todo meigo! *-*

Handmade from fabric and chipboard, and designed to hopefully last a long time! The corners are both machine sewn and glued, and I made 8 dividers to fit. Took me a little time to make this one, as the box was custom built to size, but I love the way it turned out!

A remix of traditional masu box.

Coussinet tutorial here.

Coussinet is very useful as handle to grasp the lid.

Knowing my obsessions about tessellations and boxes, someone could have foreseen this !

"Trapped in a box, four walls as sky

Got a screen for a window about two feet wide

My mind rides and slides as my circuits are fried

No room for thought, use the box as my guide

Trapped in a box I'm not alone

I know of others with a box as their home

Light only enters from a crack or a hole

This is not enough for a human to grow..."

A commentary on gender issues, the Box Project is meant to reflect a woman's feelings of insecurity regarding her body under the scrutiny of a sexually-charged world. The world I live in, the world of twenty-somethings and college parties, has caused me to want to hide my body at times, a body that I am normally very comfortable in and proud of. The models portrayed are passive, so as to let the box speak for itself, and are placed in both public and private places, a nod to the idea that we should feel safe and at home in our bodies no matter where we are.

Small box in the shape of a turtle. silver. has hinge

Thai Police Box with Air Con ! This is one of the standard small ones.mostly too be found at major road junctions. You can control the traffic lights from this box.

Others can be a lot bigger. This is a new box The old one was just like a bus shelter !!! With a number of seats,For miscreants to wait. Usually people with no crash helmets. Fine payable at the local police station 300 baht about six pounds, You are only fined once a day.So you are free to ride without one for the rest of the day !!! Though they make you wait to pay the fine as extra punishment.

Some of these boxes are sponsored by companies. With the companies logo every where. And hard to tell that they are police boxes.Especially when there are no police in attendance. Some are outrageously decorated for want of a better word. The chair belongs to the police box.Thats for his friends to sit on when going past.

Mind you bear in mind it`s very hot and humid.

As an aside the uniforms are changing to a different type.At the moment they are very military looking with the crash helmets ,big boots and tight trousers.

But it`s being changed to standard dress.to promote a more friendly appearance.

Ha! Ha! Ha !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Portsmouth Harbour signal box with its Westinghouse Brake & Saxby Signal Co. Ltd. Style 'L' Power Lever Frame was opened by the Southern Railway on the 1st June 1946. It was built to the Southern Railway Type 13 design and was fitted with a 47 lever Westinghouse 'L' frame (which was part of a 143 lever frame (frame number 93) purchased by the Southern Railway as a standby frame in case of war damage). 47 of the 143 Standby frame levers were utilised in 1946 after the station and layout were rebuilt due to war damage.

It replaced two boxes, Portsmouth Harbour signal box which was destroyed by aerial bombing in 1941 but was not officially closed and Portsmouth Harbour signal box, a temporary box opened on 21st August 1941 to replace the bomb damaged box.

Portsmouth Harbour signal box was closed on 21st April 1968 and was used an office and a relay room for Portsmouth power signal box. After closure the lever frame was moved to the school of signalling at Clapham Junction. The building was retained as a relay room for the 1968 Portsmouth NX signalling scheme which was operational until December 2006"

The signal box briefly re-opened with hand signalling following serious problems with the 2006 Portsmouth re-signalling scheme. The Signal box closed for the second time at the end of 2007 when Havant ASC was eventually commissioned.

Box Turtles are some of the longest lived and slowest reproducing species in the world. When a box turtle first hatches from its egg it is a mere 1.25 inches long. Little is known about the lives of young box turtles because they are so secretive and hard to find. In fact, it is very rare to find a box turtle much smaller than about 3.5 or 4 inches long. It is thought that these young turtles spend most of their time concealed in brush and leaf litter and feed primarily on insects. Box turtles generally grow slowly, reaching sexual maturity at between 7 and 10 years old and 5 or 6 inches in length. Once mature, a female box turtle will lay between 3 and 6 eggs each spring in a shallow nest. The eggs are left unguarded and hatch in the late summer or early fall when hatching occurs. Box turtles commonly reach 25-30 years of age and there are well-documented cases of them living to 40 or even 50 years.

From:

www.bio.davidson.edu/people/midorcas/research/Contribute/box turtle/boxinfo.htm

Turtle age can be estimated in younger turtles by counting the growth rings on the carapace. This method of age determination is only useful until about 10-15 years of age. As box turtles mature, growth rings wear down and become indistinguishable.

The male on this picture is 15 years old.

This is a "pill box" on Aberdeen beach, left behind from the Second World War. Soldiers would keep a watch out for the invaders. Over the years the boxes have moved... further along the beach, some are still in the dunes, on the grass. Most are at funny angles. This is the fourth or fifth one to the North from the River Don. At low-tide, more are visible, as well as concrete blocks to hinder any landing tanks.

This photo has been converted to b/w, the contrast and brightness increased significantly and then coloured adding a bit of red, half the amount of green and subtracting the green amount from the blue to give an extreme sepia look.

I had a bunch of old Silicon Chip magazines sitting in a cardboard box and since I'm on a quest to rid my house of cardboard boxes (evil, horrible things) I decided I needed a magazine storage solution.

Sure, I could drive down to Officeworks (A megastore of stationary here in Australia) and simply pick one up off the shelf for a few dollars (Well, $15 for one this size). It would have been a no-brainer. But that just didn't seem sporting!

So last night I sat down in front of my computer and fired up CorelDRAW and designed this and today, armed with a sheet of 6mm MDF, I set my laser cutter to work. It's got enough room to fit a bunch of magazines and should I need more I can just cut them out! I figure it cost me about $6 for the MDF - less than half the cost of buying one :)

The new Nonesuch Doll box is going to be a two piece rigid set-up box with a black chipboard interior and a deep blue-green paper exterior. The Nonesuch Garden insignia will be stamped in silver foil on the lid. The inside dimensions will be 6x4x4 inches, creating a spacious bed for Nonesuch Dolls of all shapes and sizes!

This box will be manufactured in the USA by a company that is dedicated to protecting the environment. The chipboard is made with 100% recycled content and the cover paper is dyed with water-based inks. This sturdy box will be reusable, recyclable, and gentle on the Earth.

To raise funds to get these beautiful custom boxes made, I have started a Kickstarter campaign. Please check it out, make a pledge, and/or spread the word!

Thank you so much!

I dont know what happened to me but my imagination has been so weak for a while. I couldnt come up with any design and I was getting anxious!

My client requested a mum/nurse/ girlie cake, how could I combine all that into a cake? I thought of a box full of nursing stuff and children's toys (well not exatly reality but..) so I decided to make a girlie box with children and nurse stuff in it!

This was a last minute design! I cant even believe that I did all that in 4 hours!

I hope my client is happy with the finished product :)

Wansford Signal Box is just outside Wansford Station. It was built in 1907 by the London & North Western Railway and is one of the largest preserved signal box in its original location.

The signal box and the railway are part of the Nene Valley Railway who where hosting their Annual Autumn Steam Gala while I was there. In my photograph you may have noticed LNER A4 Gresley Pacific 4-6-2 No.60009 Union Of South Africa running tender first around the loop before the locomotive begins her duties for the day.
