A presentation box for a canteen of cutlery, hand made from English Cherry with a book-matched Yew burr veneer on the top of the lid.
The slots to receive the cutlery were hand cut from plywood and upholstered in felt.
I used Brusso quadrant hinges to enable the lid to remain open at 90 degrees. To maintain clean lines on the box exterior, I used magnets to hold the box closed and created small dimples to assist opening.
The interior is finished with hard wax oil while the exterior is French polished with shellac.

Flat 20-sided tato box by......me?
Not innovative or useful really, but not bad for somebody who knows neither math nor origami and made this from scratch in Photoshop.
The flaps don't really form a nice circle in the center and there's that hole, so does that mean I should try shaving 1mm off the radius or learn to fold better?
CP for pointing out flaws, or storing a flat cookie if you have (the collapsed center touches the base, so spread your Florentine out VERY thin).
Back of a box of pharmacy 1960s.
Looks very nice. Found during emptying my parents' house.
In the box were white folded paper with some powder. I think against diarrhea.

The box is all polymer construction and is 70 mm (2.75") diameter x 60 mm (2.4") tall including lid.
I didn't realize this cereal was around for as long as it was....It had been since at least 1990 since I remember it, but
i guess they made it into the 90's, I've seen different boxes for it.
The jumper fabric is cotton home decorating fabric. I wanted something heavy for cold weather. The blouse is Moda 3 Sisters. I used shell buttons.
These boxes hung 6 storeys through the middle of the MegaBox mall. You can text a phone number and your message scrolls up through the boxes (the benefits of a vertically written language, I guess).
Apparently, most of them said things like "I love you" and "Happy Birthday".

This fall my sister went to an estate sale and bought me a grab-bag box of HO scale freight cars on the cheap. Inside the box was a Con-Cor 40 plug door boxcar lettered for PFE. After some research I found prototype photos of this rare type of PS-1 boxcar with PVYX reporting marks.
Using the photos, I made decals in Abode Illustrator, printed on Testors paper with water-safe inks. The car also got seperate ladders, tack boards, brake wheel lines, grab irons and steps, along with scratchbuilt airhoses and uncoupling levers. The lube plates and ACI tags are Microscale decals. The car also has Kadee 58s and metal semiscale 33" wheels.
Another untouched spot: the original date of manufacture of this box along with one of it's current inhabitants of the same vintage.
The box for the sock garters. It states:
"Alltid EMOND Stil och Kvalitet

Hängslen

"Always EMOND Style and Quality
Belts
Braces (U.S Suspenders)
Socks
Dressing gowns
Bath robes
Ties"
The "Firestar," bandshell design. Holds 80 records (45's) 120 plays. One of Seeburgs "new digital machines." Solid-state TorMat memory unit was a big deal at the time. Rock those 45's!

Sun is not very kind with them, it doesn't matter!!
"Boxes in a Box
we live in boxes
we travel by them
we stare at boxes
all day,
we fight for boxes of lands and apartments
we steal from others to buy new boxes
we eat out of boxes and buy clothes in boxes
we wear shoes from boxes and
all these boxes never satisfy us
we always want more boxes! ! !
we live in boxes, we die in them
and they put us in boxes of wet earth,
after burial."

Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.
Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.
Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’
Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.

... from little acorns grow.
Ancient metal money box which I had as a child. There is something inside and I have lost the key.
"You'd scarce expect one of my age
To speak in public on the stage;
And if I chance to fall below
Demosthenes or Cicero,
Don't view me with a critic's eye,
But pass my imperfections by.
Large streams from little fountains flow,
Tall oaks from little acorns grow..."

... can easly be turned into a box and a lid
.. my design, as far as I know... but any reference will be welcome....
2 (1 for box, 1 for lid) square 15x15 cm. regular copy paper... I use 80gr. and 90gr. the second is suggested for the box
written instructions (more or less) in the kusudama cube writing.
Decoration made with paper left by cutting an A4 sheet in 2 squares... so you will just need 2 A4 paper for two duo color box.... and only 1 sheet for a single color box (obviously)... this box is very good for give aways in any occasion (espiacilly candies and confetti) and also as a toothfairy (or mouse depending on traditions) box..
I wish you a week full of colors!.... (north Italy in particular: wish you also a SUNNY week) :-))))

Box office at the Echo Drive-in Theater in Roosevelt, Utah one of just a few drive-in's remaining in Utah. Since this theater uses RF transmission to your FM radio for sound there are no speaker poles or lines for parking spaces -- looks a little weird but it has everything else even a small playground in front of the screen.
Typical storage boxes contain your items, but the inside becomes cluttered – making it difficult to find what you need. Rubbermaid’s Bento collection is designed to organize items, rather than just store them. The Bento Boxes have internal flex dividers, which enable you to divide the space by creating unique sections when needed. Boxes can stack vertically, or fit inside each other. Bento Trays can act as trays or covers, providing an extra layer of organization for the Bento Boxes, or hiding what’s inside. The Bento Collection is made from sturdy materials, and the heavy-duty decorative fabric enables it to remain out in your social spaces while complementing your home’s décor.
