YR61RVE was a Scania N230UD Omnidekka H41/22D new as Centrewest SN36064 in October 2011. It is one of a pair on loan to Borders Buses, and is seen in Galashiels.
SN55HFD is on loan to Borders Buses at Galashiels, a new trading name for West Coast Motors, with the legal lettering suitably ammended. It is a Volvo B7TL / Wright Gemini new as H45/29F First Edinburgh 32676 in September 2005. It will return to Firstbus for further service.

The one-time headquarters of the former Curtis Publishing Company and the University of the Arts lie at the edges of the neighborhood.
Washington Square West's real estate is mixed commercial, residential and service industries, characterized by two, three, and four-story rowhouses interspersed with condominiums, mid-rise apartments, hospitals and offices with ground-floor retail. The neighborhood follows William Penn's original grid layout for the city, with many one-lane and pedestrian side streets added later as the population became denser. In addition to the block-sized Washington Square Park to the East, the neighborhood contains the smaller Kahn Park, named after the Philadelphia architect Louis Kahn who resided in the neighborhood.

Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn, an English Quaker. During the 19th and 20th centuries, Philadelphia emerged as a major national industrial center and railroad hub. The city’s blossoming industrial sector attracted European immigrants, predominantly from Germany and Ireland, the two largest reported ancestry groups in the city as of 2015. In the 20th century, immigrant waves from Italy and elsewhere in Southern Europe arrived. Following the end of the Civil War in 1865, Philadelphia became a leading destination for African Americans in the Great Migration. Philadelphia is a national cultural hub, hosting more outdoor sculptures and murals than any other American city. Fairmount Park, when combined with adjacent Wissahickon Valley Park in the same watershed, is 2,052 acres (830 ha), representing one of the nation's largest contiguous urban parks and the 45th largest urban park in the world. The city is known for its arts, culture, cuisine, and colonial and Revolution-era history; in 2016, it attracted 42 million domestic tourists who spent $6.8 billion, representing $11 billion in total economic impact to the city and surrounding Pennsylvania counties.
With five professional sports teams and a hugely loyal fan base, the city is often ranked as the nation's best city for professional sports fans. The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.

This old Leopard was never far away from National Express work throughout its working life - after starting out with Ribble / Standerwick, and then National Travel North West, it spent its final years with Border Tours, in whose ownership it made regular appearances back at Chorlton Street on NX duplicates. I don't think it got much further than Blackpool or Birmingham, but it would still have been far preferable to a Willowbrook Spacecar !
Cottage garden border brimful of flowers. I loved the higgledypiggledy froth of all the different shapes and textures and the dark linear shapesof the stems and shadows to the right. I put a detail of this on earlier but found the whole drawing last night!

One of the most incredible things we did in Bolivia was undertake the three day, two night tour of the Salar de Uyuni and the surrounding area (right down to the border of Chile). Essentially three fantastic days of barren desert, brilliant lagoons and fascinating wildlife (including more flamingos than I could count) which culminates on the third day visiting the world's largest salt flat, measuring an astounding 10,582 square kilometers. This photo depicts the salt flat in all of it's glory with our transport for the duration of the trip, which included more than 1000km of driving with our very informative (albeit only Spanish speaking) guide.
Side note: Bolivia is a universally underrated country. Although it does not have the allure of it's coastal South American neighbors, there are no shortage of absolutely remarkable (and affordable) things to do here. I would highly recommend it to any traveler with a hint of an adventurous spirit.
