Even the Ensete here is an annual. The hot growing season here is at most 4 months long, not long enough for the plant to mature and flower. But it looks great as a focus plant in a border!

The railway line over the bridge is currently closed.

This fine healthy young boar grizzly was grazing daily at the Dalton Cache Alaska U. S. Customs station, on the south end of the Haines Highway.

Customs officials joked that he was their mascot, and would use him for 'enforcement' if anyone got out of hand.

He hung around the area for 6 weeks or so, while the summer wildfowers were plentiful. He made for many good photo-ops for tourists (staying IN their vehicles), as he completely ignored the attention he was getting.

We went across in Northern Idaho, in both directions and up a considerable grade, a swath of trees had been removed to denote the border.

This DB 628 is working the commuter service from Linz.

Mine and Andrew's exhibits began to overlap.

The other side of the wall that divides one of the richest cities in the USA

and one of the most troubled cities in Mexico. The story of people that were

deported from the USA after living there for half of their lives and leave their

wives and children behind, choosing to live a marginal life in Tijuana in

hoping to make it back one day. No documents, no communication with their families in the USA.

What about Tourism? Forbidden for Voyeurs, Einzelausstellung, Billedhuset, Kopenhagen.

Gezeigt wird eine Sammlung von Urlaubsbildern, die T.G./C. vor einem Fix-Foto-Labor in Bangkok von Touristen erbittet. Von den jeweils 4 Fotografien zeigt jeweils eines den jeweiligen Touristen. Beigestellt sind die Name und Angaben zu Beruf und Dauer der Reise. Zusätzlich werden die während der Reisen entstandenen Farbfotografien T.G./C.s und Aufnahmen aus dem Familienalbum Geoffroy gezeigt, die in den frühen1960er Jahren entstanden.

Zutritt zur Ausstellung gewährt die Art Police nur denjenigen Besuchern, die auf ihrem Rücken schriftliche und / oder fotografische touristische Selbstkritik üben.

I've been told that this was one of the Borders chain's most lucrative locations, and the only bookstore on Long Island's North Fork. (The truth of these statements may be contested - this Christian bookstore in Riverhead is still open.) Former employees at this Borders and locals are hoping to see another store like Books-A-Million can move into the location. Anything but another bank IMHO!
