there's a baby boom going on in our extended family so i have made a bunch of felted booties for them!
3 weeks of healing. Barnacle and Seashell cuts put the hound in bad shape. Infection set in and her pad on one toe was involved to the point it was mush.
made with felt and hand embroidered butterfly using piruli pattern from Bitty Booties-Heather Bailey
I have a niece!
These booties are quickly becoming my favorite thing to knit for new babies. They're super quick, super cute, and super practical, too.
They're basically Bev's stay-on booties, except that the toes are doubleknit, for extra warmth...and I think it looks nicer, too. Plus I can put a contrast heart on the sole without much effort.
They're made of baby alpaca (brown) and alpaca/silk (green) yarn.I wove in a piece of narrow clear elastic at the ankle, since alpaca has minimal elasticity.
Gumpaste figurine & booties for babyshower toppers. Baby can be customized (hair color, bow or flower added, diaper, color coordinated blanket etc.). booties can be custom colored as well.
These were so much fun to make! Thanks for the pattern Heather :)
I've blogged about my booties here:
Never really gave it much thought about the view from above…

Handmade baby booties made from a selection of fabrics (including a groovy flowery pillowcase purchased from a charity shop). The strap is printed cotton tape which is fastened with a press stud. the strap is finished off with a sweet little felt flower. This is a great way to use up those precious scraps of fabric left over from larger projects. This is going to be my entry in the michael miller baby bootie contest.
Here are the baby booties in progress -- I've finished knitting the one on the left, and am about halfway through knitting the second one.
