This was over by the children's section. I like how they put the hay and pumpkins around the bottom.

David is painting the wooden doors on the set Brian and I built at his house.

Another guest at the zoo on Halloween.

We used a lot of the same facade panels as last year, mostly because of time and budget restraints. The entrance crash doors closed by gravity.

We had to move the live/momentary rail block back a little once when we realized the back car was going to far into the ride to load after sending one out.

A few more of my favorite snaps from the Halloween program at the Elmwood Park Zoo.

My friend, Lisa, who works the front gate at the zoo. A good costume doesn't require many resources!

P.S. I'm getting some "bad panda" screens this morning; doing my best to comment.

Part of the activities of Boo at the Zoo at National Zoo on Sunday. I'm pretty sure this is female Asian elephant Ambika. This very popular event in the Elephant House was very crowded with costumed characters celebrating Halloween.

By the time I reached this couple, they'd been asked several times before to pose for photos.

Someone will be looking for this shoe later.

The tiger came right up to the glass. So large and beautiful creatures. I missed the Maharajah Jungle Trek which has the tigers in Animal Kingdom my past trip. Just something to make sure i get to next time. Funny thing is I find tigers and lions very interesting yet I can't stand house cats.

Boo at the Zoo with Luke, an escaped convict [his buddies apparently are back in custody :)]. He looks like he's trying to blend in as a zebra, but I'm not buying it - how about you?! :) Naples Zoo, Naples, FL

I guess the captain is getting the old heave ho.

League of Women Voters of the Jackson (Mississippi) Area participated in this year's Boo at the Zoo, an annual Halloween event at the Jackson Zoo.

This was a giant bed that you had to walk under to get to the children's section of the zoo. Monsters were waiting within to give out candy.
