Some of the staff designed a tee shirt for the "Boo at the Zoo" program. As you can see, they take themselves very seriously.
Yesterday, we had gorgeous weather. Given the forecast of rain today, the director of operations guessed that yesterday's attendance would be the highest for the year at the zoo.

Lun Lun and Po enjoyed bobbing for apples during Boo at the Zoo. Po played in the water more than he bobbed, lol. Lun got all the apple pieces.

This White Handed Gibbon moved to the front of it's enclosure to pose when it saw me with the camera. It came from the back and moved directly to this spot. More information on the zoo at their web site. www.racinezoo.org

The monarchs have arrived! Today is Halloween; the zoo decided to extend the "Boo at the Zoo" event to include today's programming, as it's been so popular. I'm happy to see that they've been using some of my current photos in social media.
Coming out of our ride the car barely passes between two trees. Eventually we will build crash doors there.
This point was the second time a track weld sheared and we had to repair it mid ride. It is embarrassing, but we had no real beta test with this setup. broken rails are the kind of thing we have to be absolutely prepared to deal with at a moment's notice to keep the ride line moving.
