A lot of the ride layout is visible, and you can see our track platform technique of lining up a bunch of forklift pallets and screwing the track and treads onto it. It is interesting how much the rubber drive wheels wear out the pressure treated wood. Especially on the turns.
Tim must have been helping me drag pallets around or something that day.
We started with the loading platform which was a little hard on the power relays since it started two cars (one loaded) on a hill. Brian extended a deck for boarding and disembarking riders.

Volunteering at the zoos are part of my strategy for self-care. In the past few years, I've developed friendships with some of the staff. Sometimes, it feels good to be known in a way that's different than the role of my profession.
It was an absolutely gorgeous sunny day for Boo at the Zoo. End of our Indian Summer.
And the zoo was incredibly crowded.
No parking close by. We parked on 42nd Avenue, about 7 blocks away.
I guess if you're a kid under 7 (or the parent of/know someone under 7), you'd know what our Halloween costumes are this year.
