EXPLORE: 14 August 2008 - Thanks to everyone, for your visits, comments, faves... Nothing like Bokeh Wednesday!
These are tiny little plums that will probably never be big enough to bother with. It's been so dry for so long in Houston and it's still so dry. We were supposed to get some rain this week but you know how that goes. Too bad. Anyway, they're not mine but I do admire them on my nature walks. And, the birds eat them so that's good.
Moved around the tree until a nice branch that was hanging down revealed a far off smooth background to help form the bokeh.

Fitting an old Nikon zoom, I noticed that the reflections off the water behind railings looked interesting, not classically smooth bokeh, but interesting abstract shapes.

I was actually looking for insects while I walked my dog the other day when I noticed the beautiful evening light streaming through the trees, lighting up these lovely spring leaves---I wasn't sure what type of tree it was, as I'm not familiar enough when they don't have full leaves, so thank you to Dave Maunder for the ID (Sycamore).
