A spikey brown Thistle in close up

For Macro Mondays theme; "Holiday Bokeh".

I was busy wrapping Christmas presents, when I caught the glow of our tree lights reflecting from the tiny 2" bow that I was about to use on an equally small box. It seemed to fit this weeks theme.

I want to wish everyone a happy Holiday Season, and a very Merry Christmas. Oh - and I must not forget - HMM!

I took a whole bunch of shots of the bluejays at my mom's. They were hopping around like mad - shoveling down the seeds. The head isn't quite as sharp as I would have liked, but I do think the bokeh of the cast off bird seed looks kinda cool!!! :o)

I added the built-in bokeh blades to create the liney bokeh effect. This is still the Sol 45 lens with a fixed 3.5 aperture and a macro filter.

I don't often post photos on weekends, but I went out today on a mission to take photos of wild flowers. I was so pleased with this shot I just had to share!! I REALLY LIKE IT!!! I did not crop it at all and did very little tweaking.
