Was at the Blue Dog Cafe and saw this sculpture hanging near by. I didn't want to use a flash, as a) many places discourage it and b) a singer was performing close by and I didn't want to distract him.
So, used this as an opportunity to try different settings on the camera (Panasonic DMC-LZ7). This was at ISO-400, with no flash with an exposure of 1/8 sec, with the other settings set to normal.
By the way, the Blue Dog Cafe has very good food and displays (but does not sell) a number of George Rodrigue's work.
No trip to Historic Washington is complete without a visit to the oldest continuous postal facility in Arkansas.
RedBud couldn't help but notice that the new (1988) building bears the name of an entrenched Arkansas "bluedog" political family, the Pryors.

Yes I know this tree as been photographed a zillion times but I stumbled across it by accident while shooting the Wellington Point Jetty. As soon as I saw it I thought.....ahhhh that's THE tree. Many others have nailed this shot but this is my first humble attempt.

His poor leg looks soooo painful. He was at this funny angle showing off the leg so I quickly snapped the picture.

Hey, I got XRAYS from the surgeon!! We had a scare with Jake's ankle swelling immensely with a lot of edema (a huge patch of skin turning blood red.) So they took x-rays today to make sure the plate and screws were ok. Everything seems fine.
This dog seems to be ok with the camera but actually fidgeted a lot, still one of the most gorgeous bigs I’ve seen
