This is what we found when we headed back to our cabin in the Poconos! The little ones were not too thrilled...

EXPLORED! (My first) 23rd Aug 09
Does anyone feel like Blue Dog looks this 2nd day of December? This year I'm excited about Christmas and will have fun these 23 days getting ready.
Well as per previous photo I went to a Startrails workshop on Saturday night. In between taking two StarTrail shots I took a few shots of the horizon on the hill behind me. Just thought it was beautiful.
Now while there were plenty of stars, some of this is noise. This time my error !! I had to set the ISO in the dark & went wayyy too high. In this case I like the effect & I know it was my own silly mistake.

Becoming a less and rarer sight on the roads, trailer loads covered with a tarp, but, still provide the unanswered question; "whats under there?"

this view of Peyto Lake is at the Bow summit off the Icefields Parkway. Many people note that this looks like a Dog's Head!
I have noted the location of Waterfowl Lake attached in the comments below. In all my mountain trips this year I have noticed a real bumper crop of cones on the fir trees and that is what is giving the red highlight on all the trees, they are not sick or discolored. Usually big cone yields occur during a drought year. The trees try to make sure there will be survivors!

This is Nikki the Boston Terrier. Nikki is a popular dog on our site. Original art created with wacom tablet and photoshop. All rights reserved. Boston Terriers are a favorite breed of mine to work on. These little dogs are high energy and I find that their humans let me play and go crazy with color. Boston Terrier owners tend to be bold and not afraid of new things.

I've always loved Blue Dog paintings and murals so this is the calendar for the room where my computer lives. For this post I researched a little and found out the following:
George Rodrigue was a Louisiana artist who wanted to capture the Cajun life, swamps, moss covered trees and a culture he thought was disappearing.
Blue Dog came from a Cajun legend of Loup-Garou, a dog-like creature who prowled the swamps. He turned out to be a blue dog with a haunting, wistful expression and became the symbol of Louisiana. Love him!
