Ken Block's 2008 Subaru Impressa WRX. The only shot of his car i would get as he wouldn't even make it to the 3rd stage of the day where the spectator point is located.
I just about exhausted my supply of tiles on this project (there will probably be a Bricklink order in my future). All blocks of the same color are constructed identically and each block has a symmetrical tile arrangment. I was sad that I had such a dearth of blue tiles that I could not even muster one blue block (but some how I managed an orange one?!?)
The ratio of the sides of the wooden blocks is 1:1:8 which makes for a very loose fit. For the Lego blocks I used a 1:1:7 ratio since Lego bricks are made to more exact tolerances. This allows for easier puzzle assembly and a completed result that is more snug.

Blocks made for Margaret's Hope Chest Quilt Bee
Made from this tutorial - crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2008/05/hourglass-block-tutor...
I saw some gorgeous colour blocking over at CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week and wanted to have a go. I coloured up an acrylic block with some Hero Arts Shadow and Mid-tone inks, spritzed with water and pressed onto my card base. I then used Hero Arts Cup'o'Joe ink to stamp my new Unity Itty Bitty set. Stamped the flourish onto the blocks and the sentiment to the side.
I started participating in bees in April/May.

July blocks for Together do.Good Stitches - sorry they are both the same, I had to make them as quickly as possible or they would have had to wait until some time in August -and I realise now I haven't got much contrast in the quartered corner blocks - sorry! Hope they'll be okay.
Here's my block 3 for the quilt along. I made the handle curved at the top by making the squares out of the purple and yellow triangles so it looked more like a curved handle. This was a quick and fun block to make!
Heather, I forgot to trim away the circle under the middle circle (the one used for turning it right side out) on this block before I sewed it down. You can see a shadow of it through the center circle because the sun is shining through it. It's not visible at all without light behind though. I hope that's ok. duh me!
