Touch a Truck Community Event, a family fun event for children of all ages in Downtown Oklahoma City, Sponsored by Dolese Concrete.
Here are my blocks so far, I think there might be a couple more to come, not sure. I wondered what squaring each block with large white triangles, and then piecing them together as diamonds within a large diamond, would look like. Perhaps then when squaring the quilt, using spider like block outer corners. Heck, I'm not sure that makes sense to anyone, I'll draw it out.
Welcome Week ends with a bang at UL Lafayette's annual Block Party. Held at the corner of St. Mary and Rex, students are treated to free food, music, t-shirts and other fun, while celebrating life as a Ragin' Cajun.
I tried to get a picture of each block before I sent the quilt away - however, block 11 is nowhere to be found, for some reason!

Larry J. Pontarelli & Sons, Inc. Maybe a one-off, as this giant glass block wall appears nowhere else in the neighborhood.

Things I have learned so far:
I absolutely stink at taking pictures! LOL
That it takes about 10 minutes to conceptualize and sew a block. I have 37 blocks so far.
I recovered from my panic attack brought on by the realization that I didn't have enough of the orange swirls left over. After that, this block was a complete joy. I mean really, if pinwheels don't make you smile, then you must not have lips! I think this is my favorite block so far. I remembered what Elizabeth told us about rotating directional prints, which is what I did here. Love it! Thanks for the great tutorial, Cherri!
