finally got a block finished! I'm so behind now. 5 to do to catch up!!! I'm making 2 quilts so double the work load. but still fun! I took this pic at night time so the colours are a bit dark in the corner blocks. My birds are top left going clockwise: a tui., fantail, a kiwi, and a pukeko.
Small art project for class, 60 something wooden blocks arranged and painted to look like a mario block falling apart. Needs a few touch-ups here and there but its mostly done and im pretty happy with it.
Sprite and the Charlotte Bobcats have partnered to help the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library add books and materials to their collection with the Blocks for Books program.
For every shot that the Charlotte Bobcats block during a home game, Sprite will donate funding for 20 new books for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. In addition, during the course of the season, Sprite and the Charlotte Bobcats will provide a variety of events and promotions to support the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s literacy efforts.

Strolling the Block is a HGTV block of the Month, my quilt forum wanted to do the quilt. We started in 2006 each month a new block. My blocks show the effect of Katrina in my world
Block 1 now has some stitching on it.The bottom right hand corner is finished and the bottom left hand corner has been started.
I am not sure how to attach the round lace motif--any suggestions?
I think I will put this block aside for a few days and get started on another one because I seem to be getting bogged down--I am too much of a perfectionest for my own good.

3.5 inch crazy quilt blocks in the making. the center is always silk ribbon embroidery. lots of velved some satins. i have not finshed them since i want to add embroidery and embelishments. pleast hold of picking favorites. ( i get confused too easiely)

Felten Block at 109-117 W. 11th Street in Hays Kansas Built c.1910 to hold several businesses. In 1911 businesses sold meat, produce, furniture, and also a restaurant. Just like when it was built the building today houses several different businesses.
It is a contributing building in the Chestnut Street Historic District.
