A bit annoying but from the UAE Dubai, non of the groups on the Flickr site are accessible. So if you want to post your newly taken Police Ferrari, you are unable to post it in the group Ferrari or Police Cars. Months ago I filled out the feedback form but until todays date, still no access.
Small art project for class, 60 something wooden blocks arranged and painted to look like a mario block falling apart. Needs a few touch-ups here and there but its mostly done and im pretty happy with it.

The center of this picture is located at about 46.1 degrees south latitude and 248.5 degrees east longitude.
Dawn's mission is managed by JPL for NASA's Science Mission Directorate in Washington. Dawn is a project of the directorates Discovery Program, managed by NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. JPL is responsible for overall Dawn mission science. Orbital ATK Inc., in Dulles, Virginia, designed and built the spacecraft. The German Aerospace Center, Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, Italian Space Agency and Italian National Astrophysical Institute are international partners on the mission team.

I'm very proud of all the points ;)
Having made one paper pieced block before I thought I would have no problems with this one, so of course there had to be an initial hiccup (I cut the bits for the corners a bit too small) but in the end it went quite well.
Froebel blocks were developed in the 1830s by Friedrich Froebel, who believed that children learn through play. These smooth wooden blocks present geometric shapes and patterns in increasing complexity. Children ages 7 - 14 discovered the fun and excitement of building with Froebel blocks in this workshop presented by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust.
Block 2 for the Moose on the Porch Quilt along. Based on a design by Vickie Eapen. Simplified the block to make better use of one of my larger scale prints. I like how it turned out, but it might need a few buttons scattered about to tie it in to the first block. Will embellish the blocks as I get more of them done.
I re-took the photo from last night because it was so bad. This is much nicer.

Locally known as the USAAF hospital, Ullenwood near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire was the site of the 110th General Hospital of the US Army Medical Corps in late 1944. Little other information is available.
A description of the camp exists - "The hospital buildings were of a uniform plan and setup and constructed of hollow tile, roofed with asbestos cement sheets. Adequate space was available for all wards, clinics, and laboratories. The quarters reserved for Officers, Nurses, and the Detachment were all of plaster board covered with tar paper and had asbestos cement roofs."
What remains today is a jumble of contemporary WW2 buildings, largely prefabricated concrete struts with asbestos roofs and clockwork walls that have been used for decades as household storage and small business units. The most interesting and medical related structure to remain is the covered corridor in the centre of the site that would have linked hospital wards.
In August 2019 the site is earmarked for demolition and development.
