Play Your Way to STREAM was a
workshop sponsored by the NJ State Library and hosted by the Old Bridge Public Library on February 26. Sixty librarians from across New Jersey joined author and presenter Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen for a fun-filled and informative day of tips on connecting with children to teach them about STREAM: Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math. Participants interviewed a puppet, filled the room with laughter playing with blocks, sang songs and made snow.

Froebel blocks were developed in the 1830s by Friedrich Froebel, who believed that children learn through play. These smooth wooden blocks present geometric shapes and patterns in increasing complexity. Children ages 7 - 14 discovered the fun and excitement of building with Froebel blocks in this workshop presented by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust.
