To view in stereo, sit 2-3 feet from the monitor and gently cross your eyes so that the two images become three. The one in the middle will be in 3d. If you are finding this difficult, you may be trying too hard. Viewing the original size is best.
This stack of Keel Blocks weighs 4.5tonnes. This is the equvilant weight of 3 family saloon cars.
These first two images are straight from the camera. Shot with the In camera b&w setting with the sharpness and contrast adjusted. then in lightroom, slightly sharpened and the tiniest curve adjustment.
For 7dos, the shipyard in belfast has the keel blocks on display outside the newly refurbished/redeveloped pump house. so this is my 7dos textured tuesday image for city living.

block 1. this is my 2nd block most probably the one i wil be using in the quilt. I will be using the other one for another project. my snowman is done in wool.

you must have heard me whining all the way to your house when i discovered 1.) that the DPW didn't have any visible winches or block and tackle and 2.) that major flagpoles now have their pulleys inside the pole or at least locked up on the outside. then as i was leaving WW, i spotted the big derricks that are lifting the HUGE steel I beams that are reinforcing the reinforcing landscape wall. yes, major block and tackle. (btb, the building behind is not WW.)
