on the rooftop of this beautiful old building there's an angel with stretched arm and hand, I guess it's a guardian angel.
We know this as the Epiphany in the States. Germans get a little more into it by "blessing" doorways with the initials of the three kings: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasaar. And of course the 20 and the 06 are the year 2006 split apart.
At the end of the ceremony the Shaman blessed all of us and asked for us to be protected throughout our journey.
Dharma gets blessed as part of the clebration of St. Francis of Assisi (wonder if I spelled that right?). She certainly behaved better than most of the other pets there :)

This is a series of photographs of the Malaysian Hindu Religious Festival known as Thaipusam held for three days starting on Wednesday 19 January 2011 and ending on Friday 21 January 2011.
Thaipusam commemorates the day when the Hindu Goddess Pavarthi gave her son Lord Muruga an invincible lance with which he destroyed evil demons.
Devotees do penance by carrying heavy ornate structures called kavadis as they walk barefoot from the Hindu Temple in George Town to the Waterfall Hilltop Hindu Temple, while others have their tongues, cheeks and backs pierced with hooks bearing small stainless steel pots and skewers.
One of Wedding ceremony in Bali can be done under Balinesse Hindu tradition, Balinese Blessing Ceremony lead by Balinesse Priest (Pemangku), presented by Bali Holidays Wedding.

Been moving backwards in terms of my creativity, as you can see. I'm relegated to taking macros of toys. If it's any consolation, I did use an umbrella for this. Lol! I know...overkill.
It was the first time I tried anything really off-camera. I used a fleabay trigger/ receiver. It actually worked! But then again, it was like 3 feet away from the subject (and me!). I figure if I start small (literally), I can move up to taking real-deal portraits with cool lighting techniques like you guys and girls!

This is what my kids do with their meals everyday. Imagine they "shower" them with rainbows, hearts, suns ( and sometime even dinosaurs ) .
It´s a fun and creative way of blessing we made up!
