My Favorite Things circle background stamp stamped with white ink and embossed with white. A peek of red ink was added with Distress inks. The wreath is a Simon Says Stamp die, the flower is a stamp and die from Alternew and the word, blessings is a die from Clearly Besotted.
Tubmanburg, Monrovia, Liberia - June 5, 2014: When Blessing was 4 months old, her mother, Bendu, was working on a farm in rural Liberia. One day she forgot something at home and left Blessing with a close friend at the farm. When she returned, Blessing would not stop crying. She couldn't figure out what was wrong. Eventually she took off her clothes and discovered bleeding. After an examination at the hospital, they determiend that she had been raped by the man. Blessing spent a month in the hospital recovering. Meanwhile, Bendu filed a report with the police and took him to court. He was released when the family provided evidence that he was underage at the time (approximately 17). Blessing is now 4 years old and lives with her mother and baby sister, Miatta. Some of your greatest blessings come with patience. -Warren Wiersbe
A blessing is the infusion of something with holiness, spiritual redemption, divine will, or one's hope or approval.

May the blessing of the rain be on you—
the soft sweet rain.
May it fall upon your spirit
so that all the little flowers may spring up,
and shed their sweetness on the air.
May the blessing of the great rains be on you,
may they beat upon your spirit
and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there many a shining pool
where the blue of heaven shines,
and sometimes a star.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my friends at flickr!

Women's hand holding a holy shrine of blessed Abbas's hand where Shia used to visit and taking blessing.
The Blessing
is the moment of sunsplashed brilliance,
the walking-in by chance at the time
of greatest need. The blessing is swallows
alive from Africa, cavorting in English sky.
The blessing is a surprise, like luminescence
seen from a boat at night, between islands,
and the way it rises on the swell, the shallows
all aglow with it, the tide a woman’s sigh.
The blessing doesn’t choose. Its substance
is just bestowed. We have no right.
The blessing is the rustling of willows
when dawn comes, and mayflies love and die.
We are much in need of blessing. Its essence
will not distil: it evaporates if we try.
It’s lurking in shadows; it skulks in hollows.
It weeps, yet bids us fly.

This lovely doily box contains delicate silverware with porcelain-decorated handles I collected while I lived in Japan some years ago.
They had started to tarnish, so I decided to paint them in soft, grey pastels.
Love it!! Blessings

This will be one of my all time faves (as far as with animals) for sure! There is a difference between looking and LOOKING. On one hand… we can see what’s going on around us, but do you REALY… SEE… what is happening around you. Be aware and look it straight in the eye…and say what really is your intention? You might be surprised. Hugs, Blessings! Andrea
(ps..mr.Tiger, I just wanted a picture..thanks!lol)
On another note...the time has come to start making my contact list smaller. Everyone inspires me on here but I would like to cut down my list to those ...well...if I delete you and you realy would like me to be your contact...drop me a note. bare with me on some changes. I would like to be able to see all my contacts stuff and not have to riffle through those who could careless...you know what I mean. Thank you .

End of April, way past the best timing for cherry blossom viewing in the middle part of Japan. BUT, fortunately, Bibi still got to "catch" a tiny little bit (a few trees XD) at Nagano. ^^ What a blessing!!!
四月底,早已過了在本州,特別是中部賞櫻的最佳時期~ 但是好幸福,還是被我興奮地”逮到“幾株依然綻放的beauties.... 太開心了!還是一句:幸福,可以好簡單!! ^O^

I do not plan to wallow in sadness for a full yr of deployment. So please allow a bit of talk and reflection at least for this week. For today I needed a smile and a giggle. What better place to find it then in the face of my youngest. This shot was actually taken by my dad when we were on one of our last outings before my husband left. Heading up to Pikes Peak on the train was the setting. Dad shot…I cropped..lol…so to speak. Anyway, when I look at this shot it cracks me up! Giggles galore at “Bob”. Bob the tomato is one of Jared favoritestestest hats and boy it was a topic around the train. With the shot, I can just “hear” dear-ol “Bob” carrying on a conversation with Mr.Moose who had jump on the train at the top of Pikes Peak. What a day…what smiles….what Joy. What a great BOB..lol! Blessings friends, Andrea
YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL BEING STRONG IS THE ONLY CHOICE YOU HAVE. :-)

I couldn't begin to tell you how many geese were in the ponds at the wildlife refuge when I took this shot.. There were even some more flying in to join those already there...
"Tell me more about this 'birthday' thing, Pawpaw.. Cake? Wrapping paper?"
"Oooooo.....BOXES..?! "
Freddy Ray is one year old today. Hard to believe, but true. He is a blessing in all of our lives, and we all hope to be blessings in his.
Someday, he will widen the family circle and bless the life of some girl who hasn't even been born yet.. Such is the way of the world, and God's Plan for it, for us, for him, and for that lucky little girl, whose heart will be moved when they meet.
But for now, ripping wrapping paper, smashing cake, and playing with the boxes is enough. Happy Birthday, Frederick. We love you!
