A blessing is the infusion of something with holiness, spiritual redemption, divine will, or one's hope or approval.
May the blessing of the rain be on you—
the soft sweet rain.
May it fall upon your spirit
so that all the little flowers may spring up,
and shed their sweetness on the air.
May the blessing of the great rains be on you,
may they beat upon your spirit
and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there many a shining pool
where the blue of heaven shines,
and sometimes a star.

These mythical creatures often take the head of a dragon and the body of either a tiger or a deer, or something else like that. These peaceful creatures appear where wise leaders rule. 4 Qilin present a giant pearl as a symbol of blessings. Thousands of medicine bottles filled with colored liquid make up this lantern.

Finally received my new desktop after a 3 week wait. I have a lot of my photoshop plug-ins and actions installed, and will be checking out all the settings in the next couple of weeks. My New Year's resolutions are the same again this year:
Be more consistent with my photography workflow, healthy diet, and stay active. I've never counted calories, and just focus on whole foods and balanced meals. Works for me since I like keeping things simple. Happy New Year, flickr'ites!
End of April, way past the best timing for cherry blossom viewing in the middle part of Japan. BUT, fortunately, Bibi still got to "catch" a tiny little bit (a few trees XD) at Nagano. ^^ What a blessing!!!

The Blessing
is the moment of sunsplashed brilliance,
the walking-in by chance at the time
of greatest need. The blessing is swallows
alive from Africa, cavorting in English sky.
The blessing is a surprise, like luminescence
seen from a boat at night, between islands,
and the way it rises on the swell, the shallows
all aglow with it, the tide a woman’s sigh.
The blessing doesn’t choose. Its substance
is just bestowed. We have no right.
The blessing is the rustling of willows
when dawn comes, and mayflies love and die.
We are much in need of blessing. Its essence
will not distil: it evaporates if we try.
It’s lurking in shadows; it skulks in hollows.
It weeps, yet bids us fly.
