This will be one of my all time faves (as far as with animals) for sure! There is a difference between looking and LOOKING. On one hand… we can see what’s going on around us, but do you REALY… SEE… what is happening around you. Be aware and look it straight in the eye…and say what really is your intention? These mythical creatures often take the head of a dragon and the body of either a tiger or a deer, or something else like that. These peaceful creatures appear where wise leaders rule. 4 Qilin present a giant pearl as a symbol of blessings. Thousands of medicine bottles filled with colored liquid make up this lantern.

Ling Sen Tong Temple.

Ling Sen Tong is a Buddhist/Taoist cave temple located at the foot of a limestone hill in Ipoh, Perak. The name literally translates as 'Rock of Heavenly Spirits'. It is located next to Nam Thean Tong and Sam Poh Tong Temples just off the Jalan Gopeng (Gopeng Road) to the South of Ipoh.

Finally received my new desktop after a 3 week wait. I have a lot of my photoshop plug-ins and actions installed, and will be checking out all the settings in the next couple of weeks. My New Year's resolutions are the same again this year:
Be more consistent with my photography workflow, healthy diet, and stay active. I've never counted calories, and just focus on whole foods and balanced meals. Works for me since I like keeping things simple. Happy New Year, flickr'ites!
Tubmanburg, Monrovia, Liberia - June 5, 2014: When Blessing was 4 months old, her mother, Bendu, was working on a farm in rural Liberia. One day she forgot something at home and left Blessing with a close friend at the farm. When she returned, Blessing would not stop crying. She couldn't figure out what was wrong. Eventually she took off her clothes and discovered bleeding. After an examination at the hospital, they determiend that she had been raped by the man. Blessing spent a month in the hospital recovering. Meanwhile, Bendu filed a report with the police and took him to court. He was released when the family provided evidence that he was underage at the time (approximately 17). Blessing is now 4 years old and lives with her mother and baby sister, Miatta. End of April, way past the best timing for cherry blossom viewing in the middle part of Japan. BUT, fortunately, Bibi still got to "catch" a tiny little bit (a few trees XD) at Nagano. ^^ What a blessing!!!

Tracey Harker at the Blessing of the second rescue boat that has been donated to NSRI with funds raised by the surfski community, Spirit of Surfski 2, took place at Fish Hoek Lifesavers Club at 18h00 on Friday 12 December. The 6,5 metre Sea Rescue boat will be based at Simon’s Town.
Surfski race organiser Billy Harker got the surfski community to join hands and stand behind the NSRI by raising funds for Sea Rescue after paddler Casper Kruger was rescued in False Bay in 2007. Picture NSRI.

The Garden Peninsula's residents include a number of commercial fishermen, and Escanaba's Bishop comes by early in the summer to bless the fishing fleet. That's the event we're watching develop in this photograph.
This picture works quite well in black and white, by the way; along with the horse-drawn carriages, it has an apparent authenticity which seems quite impressive. Perhaps I'll post that version, too....

I'm a blessed man. Yes, I've had my share of darkness, but I strive for the light, always! I emphasize that notion in every image I put forth! I am blessed. I am blessed. I am blessed. God gave me a gift, and I get to use it now to give glory back to him! I am blessed! I have seen the darkest of Satan, yet I've walked with Angels! I am blessed! I have stared death right in the eyes, yet I have cast it aside and march on. I am blessed! With the love of God and ten thousand men in my heart, I am unbeatable! I am blessed! : ) With the wisdom of 47 years behind me, and hopefully a few more to come, I am blessed! I'm probably the most thankful for great parents who showed me and taught me the way, and equally wonderful friends all over the world now, who stand with me and support my photographic mission. For that, I am blessed. Of course, I'm most thankful for Jesus Christ, who died for us so that we could have eternal life if we BELIEVE and have FAITH. That is the greatest blessing of all. : )
