Don’t Children just melt your heart! They do mine. I was encouraged to share this short tale with you because it has made so many friends smile already. I am taking a break, just for today on the balloons, trips and motion shots for this pic of my youngest. As you know I have three children and they are ALL different. But I do say that my youngest is full of surprises, everyday. So yesterday my kids were in their Sunday best so I thought I would take a few shots to pass on to the family. When I asked for a happy thought Jared gave me his typical cheese grin. In most cases I am totally cool with that But I thought I would ask just one time to get a real smile or giggle from him. “Jared, please give me a reeeal smile and not a cheeeeese” and guess what he did….he put his hands together and started a prayer. I ASKED HIM TO SMILE AND HE PRAYS…I took the shot and then busted up laughing...lol..ohhh what does that mean?

The grey building was the Sheldon House when Fayette was an active town, and the limestone and brick building in the foreground was the machine shop.
The Garden Peninsula's residents include a number of commercial fishermen, and Escanaba's Bishop comes by early in the summer to bless the fishing fleet. That's the event we're watching develop in this photograph.
This picture works quite well in black and white, by the way; along with the horse-drawn carriages, it has an apparent authenticity which seems quite impressive. Perhaps I'll post that version, too....

It is Jewish tradition to say a blessing upon seeing the first flowering buds of spring.

This representation of Christ in the cross was very controversial. It's located in Fatima, Portugal, a place of faith and peregrination.
Even if you're not a believer, it's a very quiet space, where we can refill our batteries.

His Holiness, Benedict XVI, granted an Apostolic Blessing to Rev. Nicardo P Blanquisco and all the members of The Congregacion de Sta.Clara de Montefalco, on the occasion of the700th mortal death anniversary of Sta. Clara de Montefalco (1308-2008). The blessing was issued November 13, 2008 and signed by Archbishop Felix del Blanco Prieto of the Vatican on behalf of the Pope.
According to the Catholic Encyclopaedia, “an apostolic blessing is a sacramental with which is granted a plenary indulgence.” It should be noted that “the possession of this is not the sole or immediate cause for gaining the indulgences attached thereto by the blessing of the Holy Father or his delegate. But the possession enables the recipient (Congregacion de Sta. Clara de Montefalco) to gain the various indulgences in the performance of certain good works or acts of piety.”
On this Jubilee Year (2008-2009), may the members of the Congregacion de Sta. Clara de Montefalco actively work for the spiritual benefits of this apostolic blessing by living the Augustinian Spirit more vigorously through thought, word and deed.

out of frustration of getting a vivid shots for a blue-clear skies, i walked along the sea-shore of Abu Halifa,Kuwait.
These two little kuwaiti's charmed my attention. It came out to be a poetic shot after treating in the Lightroom. enhancement is quite minimal.
