The place we bought in 1998 was a rehabbed church. It was originally built in 1888 and was completely abandoned during the mid 1980's. A developer saw it and partnered with an architectural firm that converted several churches into condos in Chicago. We saw the place as an empty gut and used our imagination on what the place would like like. The next day after we saw the empty shell of a place we put a down payment on it. We moved in in 2000 and have been here ever since. It's a great place to live.

This is a scanned image of a featured article in the Real Estate Section of the Chicago Tribune. The window on the cover page is my bedroom. I have posted several photos from this window on Flickr over the years. I completely forgot I had this article and I came across it while searching for old photos to salvage and transfer onto Flickr.
