LARGEST SEABIRD in the region. Very distinctive, easily recognized in flight by its cigar-shaped body and long narrow wings it was a real l delight to see so many at Bemton cliffs.

A TINY BIRD, it is constantly active in search of small invertebrates, you have to consider yourself extremely fortunate if you discover them. Feeding bird sometimes come amazingly close to observers, but views like this typically last no more than a few seconds. My thanks to Steve Ashton, without him I doubt if I would have encountered them.

AN ELEGANT and unmistakable pure white, heron-like bird with a black, dagger-like bill and a long neck. Was very well hidden, when this bird dropped in, it then started working its way towards me, until I could not fit it in the frame, then past me, but who wants a back side view ! What a experience. Classed as a rarity in Britain a while back, but now fairly easy to find.

I pass so many farms on rural drives and always admire and respect how truly hard the farmers work. Their labor is our bounty, wonderful fruits and vegetables. They work from sun up to sundown and now more than ever are struggling. We have been in a drought for many years.
Photographié au parc de la Garenne, dont la vocation est de recueillir et soigner les animaux blessés et de les soigner avant de les relâcher.
J'ignore si les 3 loups qui y vivent retrouveront la liberté, vu l'étrange politique concernant les loups menée par la Suisse ! (on favorise leur réintroduction, mais dès qu'ils tuent quelques moutons, on les élimine sans état d'âme. Il faudrait peut-être les inciter à devenir végétariens ⁉️)
Mais dans ce nouveau parc, entièrement repensé et nettement agrandi, les animaux semblent être à l'aise, surtout les loups qui bénéficient d'un vaste espace.
Cela dit, je suis contre l'idée de mettre des animaux en cage, d'une façon générale, sauf si le but en est la préservation de l'espèce.

l didn't know it at the time...but the couple you can see ahead took half an hour to get to were l was standing through the ankle deep mud...Generally it would take 3 minutes to get to me from where they were...when they arrived l was astounded to see they were both around 85 years old if a day, and were holding each other hands...Bless...we chatted for a while and they went on their merry way through the woods which was in an even muddier state than from whence they'd come, l gave them a 10 minute start and l followed them just incase one of them took a flyer and they needed help. Bless
Well here we go again. More silliness and misdirection I see. I think they are all pulling my leg though. I am not sure who came up with this teacher student thing. It is amusing though.

DISTINCTIVE AND NOISY WADER, seen at the top of the cliffs on Skokholm, off South West Wales, being protective as he must have had a young one in the area. They use that powerful bill to feed on mollusks and other invertebrates.

IT WAS ONE OF THOSE DAYS, when nothing was happening, we all have them, was sitting in the hide, waiting, and willing this tufty to swim past this area of reeds that was being highlighted by a brief show of sun, which also meant it had to go past the hide, eventually it took a mad rush, hence the large wake of water, and luckily, managed to capture this one.
