Frankly, the SOOC Sepia version of this photo I posted yesterday is pretty dull. Here are a couple variants.
This version of the photo's been processed using one of DxO PhotoLab's Presets. Specifically, this is their Silent Movie preset, which I've brightened a bit but otherwise left untouched. I rather like the result.
You tell me to hold on
Oh you tell me to hold on
But innocence is gone
And what was right is wrong
‘Cause I’m bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is to bring you down
I’ll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And I’m bleeding out
I’m bleeding out for you, for you.

Give Your heart Out.
Punk Chic Art Doll with Bleeding Heart made by me, BebeTheCircusQueen.
This free standing figurative art doll is one-of-a-kind (OOAK). It is handcrafted without the use of molds. Imperfections or irregularities are intentional and show evidence of handmade. It is not meant to look mass-produced.
I call the technique "fabric-paper maché": the armature is made of wire and up-cycled fabric. I then sew and glue (with my own homemade paste) more layers of fabric and paper to create various textures. The face is hand stitched and beads have been sewn on the eyes. Her hair is made of fur.
I sewed a piece of plastic mesh, and glued cheesecloth and pieces of a vintage book page as embellishments. The raised bleeding heart is made of homemade clay. I added these words "Give Your Heart Out".
It is coated with a protective acrylic varnish.
The sculpture is light but strong.
This art doll sculpture will sit pleasantly on your bookshelf, mantle or desk.

Love Lies Bleeding:
The roses in the window box
Have tilted to one side
Everything about this house
Was born to grow and die
Oh it doesn't seem a year ago
To this very day
You said I'm sorry honey
If I don't change the pace
I can't face another day
And love lies bleeding in my hand
Oh it kills me to think of you with another man
I was playing rock and roll and you were just a fan
But my guitar couldn't hold you
So I split the band
Love lies bleeding in my hands
I wonder if those changes
Have left a scar on you
Like all the burning hoops of fire
That you and I passed through
You're a bluebird on a telegraph line
I hope you're happy now
Well if the wind of change comes down your way girl
You'll make it back somehow

I love this time of year. The weather is starting to warm up and all of the spring flowers are starting to bloom. This one is one of my all time favorites. Bleeding Heart flowers have so much delicate details and are striking to look at. This photo was taken with my macro lens. I love the Bokeh on the background. One way to bring the eye to your focal point is to blur everything else. This is easily done using a macro lens due to its narrow depth of field. I love the patterns made by the colors of the background.

Bleeding Heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) flowers during the Spring and Early Summer with pendant shaped flowers. Here is a Macro shot of the flowers, which start of small but get larger further down the stem.
The yellow gunk on it's pronotum is reflex-bleeding and is an alkoloid toxin produced when the ladybird feels threatened. In this case it clearly felt threatened by a bloke with a camera using a leaf to prod it into the right pose. Sorry old chum but we did get the shot in the end.
They were more prolific in my garden this year than ever before. A single plant produced more than 15 flowering stems similar to this one. Webster Groves, Missouri.

Spring continues to offer up glorious spots of color in my garden. The first unfurling of these dainty pink hearts is always a thrill.

Looks like the clouds are trying to lift so RA are headed to the mountains and shoot some wildflowers and of course some birds.
