A permanent sign made out of the most overused grunge font on the planet.

Bleeding heart or Lamprocapnos spectabilis growing in a mountain in South Korea.

I am not much of a "flower" photographer but I find these flowers to be quite unique and beautiful, and always try to find the time to photograph them each year :)

Another experiment with close up filters. this time with a bleeding heart plant from my garden. I used a diffuser to get the dew drops. Wanted them ideally to be dripping from the bottom of the flower, but with the coating of the flower being waxy the droplets just wouldn't hold. Not a bad shot to say it was only available light used but practice makes perfect....that and a macro lens.

This is the Crypt Club exclusive version of Fiona Fatale from Bleeding Edge's line of 12inch fashion dolls, Bleeding Edge Goths, a.k.a. BEGoths. The tattoo on the side of her head says "Bleeding Edge" in Chinese.

Closed off from love

I didn't need the pain

Once or twice was enough

And it was all in vain

Time starts to pass

Before you know it you're frozen

But something happened

For the very first time with you

My heart melts into the ground

Found something true

And everyone's looking round

Thinking I'm going crazy

But I don't care what they say

I'm in love with you

They try to pull me away

But they don't know the truth

My heart's crippled by the vein

That I keep on closing

You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

I keep bleeding

I keep, keep bleeding love

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

You cut me open

Trying hard not to hear

But they talk so loud

Their piercing sounds fill my ears

Try to fill me with doubt

Yet I know that the goal

Is to keep me from falling

But nothing's greater

Than the rush that comes with your embrace

And in this world of loneliness

I see your face

Yet everyone around me

Thinks that I'm going crazy, maybe, maybe

But I don't care what they say

I'm in love with you

They try to pull me away

But they don't know the truth

My heart's crippled by the vein

That I keep on closing

You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

I keep bleeding

I keep, keep bleeding love

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

You cut me open

And it's draining all of me

Oh they find it hard to believe

I'll be wearing these scars

For everyone to see

But I don't care what they say

I'm in love with you

They try to pull me away

But they don't know the truth

My heart's crippled by the vein

That I keep on closing

You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

I keep bleeding

I keep, keep bleeding love

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

I keep bleeding

I keep, keep bleeding love

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding

Keep, keep bleeding love

Always exciting to see these lovely flowers appear, and they're a little ahead of schedule this year. Dicentra eximia, a member of the poppy family.

the song

Bleeding ink down on my face and not even god Can do something for me.

Bleeding ink of words That i Will Never Say tomorrow

Black water That surrounds me and washes off my pain.

Bleeding ink, it Will be the last time, because if the refused my wellness, they Will accept my suffering.

Taken at the Mesa Arts Center during a showcase exhibition sponsored by the Phoenix-area Fred Astaire studios. The annual event is held as a benefit for MS patients. This is the same couple shown in a previous image, and here they are concluding their mesmerizing performance. (Not to worry; neither of the female dancers in this image or its companion is collapsing or fainting!)

Non-political statement - actually the flowers. Pun intended!

weather has been awful last few days - lots of clouds, lots of rain. but it also meant beautiful sunsets. whis was one of those sunsets that you do not see very often, sky starting off as graying blue, slowly changing to yellowish orange, then to reddish orange, then turning into blood red, before it all goes back to gray...

I have always liked the glowing transilluminated look for flowers and leaves. But the timing was always difficult for the sun to be in just the right spot.

I am learning more and more how to bring my own "sun" with me and MAKE the photo rather than just take it.

Of late, I have realized my photos have displayed how I felt currently during that situation. Not just the pose, and composition, but the lighting and tones.

In this photo, I think it's pretty easy to see what I'm feeling like. Not just by the song, but by the colors. Sort of depressional.

Sort of Inspired by Rosie Hardy

I always think of my best friends Mom when I see these flowers, because of the story she shared with us kids. If you take the flower apart, you will find pieces to 'one' story of how the Bleeding Heart got its name. The pink petals represent the Princess' gown, and you can see her earrings and slippers as well. Last, there is a dagger, which a Prince used to stab his own heart when he could not win the Princess'. As a result, the Princess declared that Her heart would bleed forever.

Intentional camera movement with these beautiful bleeding hearts. Have a great weekend !
