Blackpool Transport - Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 - M374 SCK is seen here on Blackpool Promenade on July 14th 2016.

Yesterday (Saturday 23rd July 2016) marked the last day of step entrance operation for Blackpool Transport (if you exclude open top 857), as such Blackpool Transport allocated Volvo Olympian's 374 (M374SCK), 375 (M375SCK) and 377 (M377SCK) to service 1 alongside the usual mix of low floor stuff. 374-378 will now be withdrawn along with the remaining Mercedes engined Optare Solo's 277 and 279.

Thanks for the driver for leaving a bit of space from the car in front allowing this photograph to be taken, especially as this was the only real chance I had to snap one.

Over the last few days we have had a bit of rain not a great deal just a constant drizzle.

This morning however it brightened up and so I decided to walk to my parents. By god was it cold or what my poor pinkies turned blue with cold. As i walked the road to my parent i crossed the bridge over the river. now our river is more a wide stream normally (just as Cindy she will tell you) and only about three foot deep at its deepest.. today it was 10 or 15 foot deep and flowing fast and had burst its banks. I could still pass though that was until I got further up the road where it had flooded again . this time only about 6 inches but to deep to walk through in my shoes while cars passed by and so i waited until my moment the cars had gone the water level settle to a about half inch on the path and i made a run for it and got to the other side just as a car shot though the water missing me by about three foot. I knew I should have driven

From the Event Photographer of the Year 2014 awards evening

Hello, this month has been difficult and in my work it has been noticed because instead of affectionate penises I have made the decision to cut them into very small pieces, that they go preparing for Halloween, that I have discovered many ideas full of blood

Kinky event

Webster Groves, Missouri.

A bit more stand-up paddle board (SUP) action from Compton Bay, Isle of Wight, on a gloriously sunny and warm spring evening last week.

Deliberately shot into the sun for a silhouette and maximum shimmering sea, and then edited up into a Vertorama, and finished off using some flypaper textures to complete the style i was looking for when I visualised the image.

Got these absolutely gorgeous boots from the Doc Martens online store recently, and they were in the sale too. Total bargain.

I ♥♥♥♥♥ them!

Packard leather and 4" heels. Mmmmm.

Definitely not a favorite lens but I have it so I use it.

Why? because the following photos are best not seen by innocent young lady like yourself - might give you odd ideas!

Since I have been off an on for a few weeks I thought I would post another image this morning. Decided to go a bit flirty/arty.

The Vagabond, written by Sidonie Gabrielle Colette, is a story of romance set in turn-of-the-century Paris and several provincial towns. The novel was published in France in 1911. The Vagabond is recognized as one of Colette’s best-known pre-war work, her post-war works being better known. The novel definitely sits high on history’s literary shelf. Using such elements as style, technique, theme, an uncomplicated theme and supernumerary characters, Colette dramatizes the life of her Parisian heroine, thus creating a masterpiece of literary history.

made from little bits of vintage goodness.

after a long pause, I decided a little stitch therapy was in order. I gathered up my precious bits of vintage happy...received from blog friends, given to me by sweet grandma ladies, or found on treasure hunts. As I stitched away I could see the sun begin to shine. When the dress was done I felt much better indeed. Oh joy!

So today I chose to wear stockings to keep my legs warm and a jacket, when it warms up later I will take it off :)

Messing about with off camera flash and photoshop...i saw something simlar to this in a local restaurant and thought i would give it a go!

Story in my life

Just look at that tongue.

A Dronefly is feasting on Devil's-bit.

Een blinde bij laaft zich aan de rijk bloeiende blauwe knoop.

Moet je dat tongetje zien.

Overigens is de blinde bij blind noch bij. Het is een mooi staaltje mimicry van een zweefvlieg.

Bit of a strange framing I know ... what do you think?

C'est un peu bizarre le cadrage, je le sais bien ... qu'en pensez-vous ?

bit of an experimental shot. grain added to an already noisy image.

I had the chance the join a short sailing outing yesterday and decided to take the Nikon Z7 along.

A bit of a first for me here, a shot taken, processed & uploaded all on the same day.

I took an afternoon walk along the creek near home, first time in a few months, and was pleased to see plenty of birds and quite a few with young ones too. I am thinking this is a juvenile rainbow lori, it did not seem able to fly and climbed up the branches if I got a bit too close.

Went a bit wild with the processing here, went for contrast and colours, bit different to what I've been doing but I went digging through my archives and thought I would see what I could do with this.

bit of blur, but I still like it

Out with my dad today, stopped for some food while driving up the Clyde Valley. I noticed their disabled parking bays were painted in straight lines on the bricks rather than the usual circular wheelchair and user symbol, and to my eyes it looked like a piece of old 8-Bit graphics, which made me smile (I had to explain to dad what 8-Bit was).

2010 and this was also one of the mainstays of the old account. This was a fairly short era where I decided to try out a style I bought from the US. I didn't keep this style going for more than a few months as it was high maintenance and never stayed where it was styled!

According to Wikipedia - "The Rottweil Test Tower is an elevator test tower in Rottweil, Germany. It is owned by ThyssenKrupp. It is 246 metres tall, and was completed in 2017. It is the tallest elevator test tower in the world."

Personally, I don't think it looks completed (the crane give it away?) but it definitely looks like a drill bit for a drill.

I took this image handheld as we were driving out of the valley.

I hope you enjoy it.

Pied crows look a bit similar to Eurasian magpies, considered the most (!) intelligent birds on the planet. Pied crows are very intelligent too. Here is an interesting story published at blogs.thatpetplace.com/thatbirdblog/2013/05/06/crows-as-p... :

“I live in a country where these amazing birds are indigenous. We found Mort as a 3-week-old baby who we presume had fallen out of his nest. We couldn’t find a nest in any of the large trees nearby, so we took him home. We discussed outside aviaries for when he was older, and by the time we had decided on where to put it, Mort had taken to roosting on the top of our bedroom door at night …. and the rest is history.

He doesn’t have an aviary, has free range of the house and garden, and despite how scary that sounds, it actually works. We have a very large house and garden. When we go to bed at night, we find bundles of sticks, stones, etc that he is squirreled away. I think he sort of sees our bed as his nest, as he will patrol up and down it, and not even let my kids on it sometimes. I spent a lot of time with him when he was still a baby, keeping him in my shirt and taking and singing to him, so he has imprinted on me completely.

What is interesting is how the wild pieds interact with him, we have thousands flying around here. Mort will parade around on the verandah, cawing and immediately there will be a few wild pieds who are interested. They come and sit in the big trees in front of Mort or right onto the roof and look at him and Mort clacks his beak at them. He then starts to show off, and actually brings some of his toys outside and nonchalantly plays with them. The wild crows come closer and closer, until our dogs come out and they move off.

He is, without doubt, the most intelligent animal I have ever seen. Surprisingly, he is great friends with our cats and they often all hang out together.”
