Connection to the swedish tv-show "Bäst i Test"

PacManDreaming did this bit of photoshop work for the fun of it. Thank you sir.

Oh my its been a long week and yesterday it was a bit chilly hence the scarf. Had a funny one yesterday while at work or walking back to the office from the compound.

So I was in guy mode black trousers white shirt top tow buttons undone a jumper and this scarf worn in this fashion. on my head I had my sun glasses. As i was heading back i walked towards a woman who was looking at a book while walking towards me. she looked at me and ( i could see the cogs going around) she then gave me that knowing smile! you know the one that says your in my club

I couldn't understand why she smiled in that manner until i got back to the office and saw my reflection. apart from a very feminine image i hadn't realised I was still sporting Helen's sunglasses lol

Really must stop doing that.

Just a bit of a quizzical look!

A bit of an Adele inspired portrait for your Saturday!

I edited this to look like the new album cover (which is flawless)

Bit of a tricky one this. Every time lorries pass under the bridge, the bridge wobbles so timing is crucial. Lots of heavy floodlights too causing over exposures to the shot.

...a bit of abstractionism...

Constructed from brick, gypsum and lime, most of the pigeon towers originated in the Safavid period of the 16th century, and many still punctuate the plains around Esfahan. This one was actually in the city limits, and contained not one but nine towers in one building, where this was the larger centre tower. The open dome at the top allows pigeons to enter easily, while the honey comb like inner structure provides a home for each and everyone. The smell inside unmistakingly betrays the purpose of the building... which is to collect pigeon droppings to be used as a softener in Esfahan's leather tanneries, as well as fertilizer for the rich watermelon fields.

This particular one, the Hezar Jarib tower, is located in the city, on Sheikh Sadoogh street by the Esfahan University, and is about 14 meters high inside. The absence of pigeons in the shot is perhaps an indication that the increasing use of chemical fertilizer and tanning agents has resulted in a lack of demand for the real s***!

I went to a party with Japanese friends in San Mateo. Singing Karaoke was fun, but also a bit of a challenge for me, I have not done that for a gazillion years.

I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a JPG exposure, blended them, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, desaturated the image, and added some vignetting. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

First 6 of hopefully 100 Bits of Bikes :)

Over the years I've started several 100 projects and never finished one of them.

Bit of a through back to 2022, WM 7471 (PNLX) sits in Frostburg after leading the passenger portion of the days photo charter. Once I got word that the WMSR was using both WM 7471 & 7436 I high tailed it back to Maryland from Georgia. I’ll admit I could have cared less for 1309, which was supposed to be the main star. I was after the Western Maryland SDs. 7471 also wore a M5 make the experience even more surreal.

Name: BIT

Type: Speed

Pilot: Nue Wade

Special Ability: Stances

Description: BIT is a mecha with a very small frame, with a special type of wheels, integrated to the body of the build; they allow BIT to take different stances for different type of runs, normal stance allows for a fast run ideal for avoiding traps, racing stance guards the lower legs and allows for a 2 wheel drive great for speed and agility, but it’s special stance brings full speed with lower maneuverability.

The pilot has been trained by video games and the reflexes show it, even if it pilots from within, for him, it’s all a game.

- Build Notes -

So, I was watching Tron Legacy on netflix the other day (I will defend the art direction and the music, the story, well, it could be better) and I wanted to build a mech inspired by the bikes, and this design came, What I wanted to make mine was add a little bit more color, with the lights being blue and yellow.

I thought this looked like the tree had its own salad bowl. I wish this was in our backyard. I would put food for the animals in that bowl!

Bahia Honda Rail Bridge ~ last used 50 years ago

109 Year-Old Decaying Bridge to Nowhere

The Florida Keys U.S.A. ~ December 6th, 2020

*[left-double-click for a closer-look - 1938 narrow bridge-road]

*[narrow-lanes and no shoulder - very often mirrors clipped!]

*[not driven or walked-on for 50 years - 50 Years of Decay]

Bear with me. I felt compelled to do a series of shots of my favorite bridge in the world, with her magnificent colors of water and sky. I visit only once a year (for 46 straight years), and every time there is nobody here, leaving her and her ruins lonely and forgotten. I will never forget her beauty, or Henry Flagler. Thanks for looking.

The Bahia Honda Rail Bridge is a disused bridge in the lower Florida Keys connecting Bahia Honda Key with Spanish Harbor Key. Originally part of the Overseas Railway, the State of Florida purchased it after the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane and converted it to provide automobile use as part of the Overseas Highway in 1938. After a replacement Bahia Honda Bridge was opened in 1972, two spans of the bridge were removed (in the 80's) to accommodate boat traffic and make the majority of the bridge inaccessible to pedestrian traffic, but the rest remain standing. Red bridge-rust.

It was originally built by Henry Flagler as part of the Overseas Railroad which was completed in 1912. Flagler funded the construction of the bridge, along with the rest of the railway himself. It was purchased by the state of Florida and converted for highway use in 1938 after the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935. Rather than completely rebuilding the bridge after the hurricane, the existing structure was repaired and the deck for the Overseas Highway was added on top, as the existing deck inside the truss was too narrow for vehicular traffic. The bridge served as the primary mode of transport to the islands of the lower Keys, and as a primary evacuation route.

A new four-lane bridge was built in 1980, a few hundred yards north of the old bridge, replacing the old route of U.S. 1. Today, the former bridge provides a scenic overview of the area for tourists. Two of the truss spans have been removed in order to facilitate boat traffic, as the new bridge has an increased span height. The original bridge has fallen into a state of disrepair and signs have been posted on the bridge warning boat traffic to watch for falling debris, but all of the sections have remained standing (not counting the two that were removed). The easternmost section remains open to pedestrian traffic and is maintained by Bahia Honda State Park. Bahia Honda Rail Bridge ~ Spanish Harbor Key ~ Lower Keys

Nowadays, I'm not one to wear too many accessories ~ dress shirts and ties are somewhat in the past and only worn on very special occasions!

However, I do still have some cufflinks and tiepins ~ including a Disney trie pin with a "warning!" oh and a Concorde tie pin!!
