She was a bit knocked down by the cold and was very sluggish. I gave her a drop of sugary water and warmed her up a bit and she was able to fly again in a few minutes.

bit of a glimpse at an Aurora Australis (Southern Aurora) through the clouds near Queenstown, Tasmania, Australia

Bit of a vintage vibe. ♥

A resident of moist environments flying in marsh glades and wet sedge meadows. Only one brood annually in late June.

Rare species (S1) in most states where it resides. It is a real treat to see one or two. Highly uncommon to see higher counts of this species.

The individual in this series is a bit worn female missing some of the beautiful fringe. The orange wing color is also diminished as it often happens in individuals that have been on the wing for awhile.

Bit blurry, (haven't shot a photo in a few months :[ ) and took like 2-3 days to upload :P

Sorry for all that hope y'all enjoy

I'm really enjoying these night shots, I've managed to find a few dingy alleys that look pretty cool.

On the trail back to where I had left my jeep I rested for a bit and had another look at the trail maps of the forest. It looked like there was a trail that ran along the River Vartry and if I found that trail I could once again try and capture the Devils Glen waterfall. Maybe this was the light at the end of the tunnel. I carried on and headed for the light and the jeep!

A bit of fun! I saw this fish, all alone in a fish tank, in the entrance hall to Angkor National Museum in Seam Reap, Cambodia. Having visited Angkor Wat, we went to the museum to learn more about the history of temples and religions in Cambodia. I just couldn't resist taking a photograph of such a vibrantly coloured and unusual looking fish. I have no idea what it is but I spent ages trying to freeze the fish's motion to get a passable side view through the glass. I've spent less time getting shots of a single lion or leopard!!

A bit of an out-take shot from the visit to the big kiln a while back.

I really ought to develop some new lightforms, this one is getting a bit tired now.

Something a little bit different from me with an image taken just over a week ago while doing a bit of light painting in a disused railway tunnel near Rowsley. We had gone down in the middle of the day and with the tunnel being almost 1000M long there was plenty of areas where the light didn't penetrate but also several places where the light flooded in, this section was about half way down the tunnel and gave us some lovely shafts of light (the result of smoke from our light painting 😉) so I couldn't resist a quick selfie looking up into the sun.(Olympus EM-1 mk2 7-14mm f/2.8 pro 1/10 f/6.3 @ 12mm)

Just out on the street playing with different views and use of reflections

A bit of trail near my favorite section of the Prairie river that I'd never seen before. It doesn't go far into the woods, but it's pretty cute.

I still can't believe how small this little one was in March, just a few days out of mom, Ellaroo's pouch. Definitely the tiniest koala joey I've ever seen - so new & fresh out of the oven! And now, still small, and as cute as can be, two months older and so much fluffier and filled out.

The first view is at about 6 months old, since that's when a joey first emerges from the pouch. They have a lot of developing to do during that time since they're only the size of a raisin at birth. That would make this joey about 8 months old now, in the second photo.

There are so many adorable babies to ooh and awe over at the Zoo this Spring! My heart is smiling!

Thanks for visiting.....

Bit of an 'off the cuff' shot, I was up taking pics of the girls on their horses and turned towards the ennerdale Valley and could see the snow coming down. A stark contrast to the bright sun and crisp breeze we had at the yard.

Bit tired of the autumn captures so will post more photos of this kind for the next season :D. Here some captures I made in the garden last summer. Did shoot with the camera set directly in monochrome mode.

This clown was down on 3rd street in Santa Monica. I appreciate his can do attitude getting dressed up and hanging out hoping to make some money. Never the less, still a bit creepy.

Bit of a weird one this... having my yearly "do something different" complex, some bits make sense, others dont... was one of those days!
