what comes from the heart
I've been feeling a bit under the weather, and over the past week or so I've kind of slipped into a bit of a funk.
In the scheme of things, I feel it would be pretty unseemly for me to complain about ANYTHING......there are folks out there with REAL problems right now......worrying about where their next meal is coming from, how they're going to pay the rent and how they're going to just survive.
But, even though I am so incredibly blessed to be in a secure position , after over 8 weeks of navigating life in this new world...yeah, it's starting to get to me just a little.
Yesterday, a little package came in the mail. When I opened it up, there was this little stone kitten staring up at me..

It meant so much to me I couldn't help but cry.
I was immediately reminded that I am so lucky, and that I've met some really incredible people here on Flickr, that have come to mean so much to me.
True friends that can lift you up and make you feel like the world is still a pretty wonderful place!
I've named this little fellow Flick (for Flickr), and he will find a prominent spot in my house, where I can look at him often and be reminded of all the beautiful people I've met here on Flickr.
