Kestrel Portbury Wharf Reserve

Common Buzzard Gigrin Farm Powys Wales

This hawk was sitting on a fence post down in a valley. I was able to get some clean shots of the entire bird, but I liked this composition a lot better.

Not quite in focus but makes a nice change from my gull flight shots :)))

Taken near Portland Bill Dorset

Whilst walking around Horsbere Brook Ponds (near Gloucester) this Kestrel was flying & hovering for some time giving me a chance to get some photos.

Sparrowhawk Wick Quarry Glos UK

Spotted in an Oak Tree while out walking in Holland-on sea. This is an escapee captive bird from two miles up the road.Great to see it sitting in a tree.

Sorry, forgot the name!

There were around 8 to 10 kites and some seagulls circling over the house yesterday evening, I think some of our neighbors are leaving food out for them. I think that some of the kites are young/recently fledged, they seemed to be ‘playing’, swooping towards each other & then veering away at the last second.

Carrabelle, Florida, a historic working community, is located right on the Gulf of Mexico in the eastern Florida Panhandle. A true fishing village, its people have been harvesting from the sea for more than 100 years.

A three shot series of our pet Hawk. Well, I call him a pet since he shows up 2-3 times a week just to see what I'm up to. Today I was working in the garage so he came to the tree right next to the garage door.

Turbary Woods Owl and Birds of Prey Centre near Preston, Lancashire. I took my daughter and her boyfriend for a 'flying experience' there for her birthday. It was really enjoyable!

I discovered that the owls with large all black pupils were nocturnal hunters while the ones with amber irises and black pupils are twilight hunters.
