Greater numbers of Short-eared Owls this year leaving some to speculate that it is due to loss of habitat in nearby areas. While competing for food supply, the Norther Harrier will harass the owl until it drops its prey and then scoops it up.

Completely un-phased by all the crowds near the Disney resort The wildlife in Florida seems much more approachable ,probably because of the number of people always present .So if you can put up with the noise ,photo opps are a plenty.

I think we all have bogey birds and this mine I have had them land close and they have gone before I can react or someone walks in the hide just as they land so believe it or not this is my first shot not great but maybe a start

A lucky lunchtime shot , i took a half day of work, and was just sitting down to eat when my wife spotted this sparrowhawk perched on a garden chair i ran to get to get the camera he had moved to the wall i opened the window and managed to fire off 7 shots i.dont like seen them in the garden as they kill the smaler birds,It is my first time photographing a bird of prey
