Cava on an upland bird hunt. It's fun to watch the two young girls start to understand upland hunting and to see their body language change when they get a scent of a bird.
I didn't think i'm a dark goth, but it seems so. The Cure was my favourite band when i was in school.

Bird

my sister....
the good*bad birds. they are too cute....i am seriously in love with these birdies lately.
Not because of this robin necessarily, but there were plenty of birds singing today, and what is more I saw my first butterfly on the wing this year - a Brimstone.
Surprisingly, this seems to be my first photo of a European Robin on flickr, despite it being such a regular bird that is often easy to photograph.

The Northern Gannets are large black and white birds, with long pointed wings and long bills. Northern gannets are the largest seabirds in the North Atlantic, with a wingspan of up to 2 metres. Gannets are colonial breeders on islands and coasts, which normally lay one chalky blue egg. It takes five years for gannets to reach maturity. First-year birds are completely black, and subsequent sub-adult plumages show increasing amounts of white.

Day five of bird week.
Firstly I'd like to thank everyone for their concern. I just have a minor concussion. It's nothing serious. Just going to have headaches, dizziness, and nausea for awhile. I'll still be going through my contact list and commenting but the comments will be slightly generic for awhile (which is very difficult as you all have such beautiful stuff!). Thanks again everyone for your concern!
This is another South American bird at the aviary.
Medium-sized bird living in cities. They are trained for racing or carrying messages. Found these lovely birds resting by the small water fall at Lamthakong.
The Noisy Friarbird (Philemon corniculatus) is a large member of the honeyeater family with a distinctive naked black head and a strong bill with a prominent casque (bump) at the base. The upperparts are dark brown to grey, the underbody is off-white, with silver-white feathers around the throat and upper breast, and the tail has a white tip. It is a noisy and conspicuous bird mainly seen in small groups, usually up in trees. (From Birds In Backyards)
They are not the prettiest of birds and are quite noisy when around. This one has been captured in our backyard.
Thanks to all my Flickr photostream followers I have now more than one million views, thank you.
Thanks for viewing my photos and for any favourites and comments, it is very much appreciated.
