this is my bird. she was given to my family and i from my aunt. she was my cousins and she didnt take care of her. she locked her in her cage, stopped giving her water and food, and eventually this poor bird pulled out all her feathers. my aunt quickly nursed her back to health and now she lives happily with us. please send her your love. in this picture, she laid her 2nd egg!

Four young finch were born and raised in the bird house and were fed by both parents. At this stage the chicks were fairly mature and ready to leave the nest. Weeks later I spotted the entire family not far from the birdhouse in the grass feeding. It has been a pleasure to watch them each morning.

Clicked in Denver Zoo. Please help identify this beautiful bird

I was just outside London Drugs today on Granville and saw this Bird lady feeding the pigeons and especially since that intersection is under contruction, the birds took over the street.

I think it's funny that "luxury" is gone off the sign. I guess you can't sell luxury autos when you put a big old bird on your roof.

Bird-of-paradise or crane flower (Strelitzia reginae) is a native of South Africa and is closely related to the banana.

The herbaceous plant derives its common names from the unique flower it bears, which resembles a brightly colored bird in flight

Melvin is watching the crazy bird that repeatedly runs into the window.

In other words, this water hazard is for the birds!

This little bird was way up on top of an aspen. I was lucky to catch this.

Taken at the Boise Zoo. Ironically, this was the best shot I got there and this bird was not even up for display.

A grebe is a member of the order Podicipediformes and the only type of bird associated with this order. Grebes are a widely distributed order of freshwater diving birds, some of which visit the sea when migrating and in winter.

These majestic handsome creatures are at the National Aviary. Neither one can fly, and the guy in the background is actually completely missing one of his wings. It's sad, but atleast they're being cared for and I really enjoy being able to get so close to these big beautiful birds.

was waiting for a bird to eventually land on this small garden statue, and along came a great tit,i only used a 50mm lens for this shot,so who says you need a long telephoto lens for bird photography? lol
