A group of about 20 Ravens playing in the strong wind and updraft created from a hummock about 40 to 60 feet high on the Tularosa Basin. Many of the birds are behind the hummock. They would rise up and down on the wind as it diverted off this flat-topped hummock. Observed them at this activity for well over an hour.
Western hognose snakes are a diurnal species, although they spend much of their time underground. However, when found above ground, this species is most often encountered in the morning and evening hours.
