I always love spring time, gives us a chance to see the beginning of life from newborn birds and animals to the buds of new flowers. All around new life abounds and fills the air with that fresh new scent of life!

This is my themed photo for the week. I labored over the idea for this theme quite a bit - beginnings are always hard for me - and in the end, the image I chose to shoot was all about coming up with ideas. I like it.
Humble beginnings, but a lovely flower later on!
My opinion personal es que son tan hermosos como las flores, y representan para mi, humildad e inocencia...

This is so much fun! Marcelle Medallion pattern from Liberty Love. I am selecting fabrics for each section as I go (aside from a stack of neutral/low volume prints to be used throughout the quilt).
From a shoot back beginning of the year #feet times 😀

As promised here is the colour version of the Blue toned flower. I decided to crop it in an almost panoramic format.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone -it's Friday evening here :-)
I look through "Explore" on Flickr on an almost daily basis and I'm always amazed and inspired by what I see. In this case, I'm trying my hand at Still Life, which is always challenging. Minimizing unwanted reflections, external light sources, background, exposure, and much more all comes in to play. The camera was tethered to a laptop via USB cable and EOS Utilities, which gave me a better view of the whole affair. As for the title, well... stay tuned.

View On Black Much better viewed large!
The start of a “strenuous” hike according to the official trail map. About three miles of rocky uphill hikin’ with forty pounds of camera equipment and absolutely no regrets! The beginning of the Rainbow Falls trail with littered with beauty in every direction. A perfect way to start a vacation!

Our 2rd morning in Cromwell. We woke to heavy fog and went for a walk along Lake Dunstan before making our way to Wanaka.

Lake Dunstan is a man-made lake and reservoir in the South Island of New Zealand.
The lake was formed on the Clutha River as a result of the construction of the Clyde Dam, filling in four controlled stages beginning in April 1992 and completed the next year. Parts of the town of Cromwell were relocated to a new area above the new lake. Between the town of Cromwell and the Clyde Dam the lake passes through what is called the Cromwell Gorge.
