It looks like we had some meat for dinner, but it is the juice of the beet or beetroot, which we had for the first dish served as a carpaccio.
Julia made a yummy farro salad with beetroot, sultanas, mint and cinnamon, with and orange dressing. She also grilled chicken breasts marinated in lemon, rosemary and garlic.

This beautiful vegetable came to us in this week's veggie bag. I think it's a kind of beetroot. It tasted like that.
Thoran or Upperi (Malayalam: തോരന്, pronounced [t̪oːɾan]) is a Kerala cuisine dish (South India). This popular and common dish is usually prepared to be eaten along with steamed rice. It is usually served as part of the Sadhya along with other dishes.

Love eating on the boat at Richmond Bridge they serve a lot of classic British recipes but mix with multi cultural ingredients which they make an effort to source locally wherever possible

A quick dinner tonight of home made minted coleslaw, smoked black pepper mackerel and beetroot. The coleslaw made with shredded Chinese leaf and carrot with a mayonnaise, crème fraîche and mint sauce
