I developed some more photos today; the concept was better than the result I think.

The adventures of Buck Rogers in comic strips, movies, radio and television became an important part of American pop culture. Buck Rogers first appeared in “Armageddon 2419 A.D.” by Philip F. Nowlan in the August 1928 issue of Amazing Stories. His name at the time was Anthony Rogers but it was changed to Buck Rogers for his first comic strip appearance in January, 1929. Buck Rogers has been credited with bringing into popular media the concept of space exploration and his popularity paralleled the development of space technology in the 20th century.

Strobist:

Shot inside a small tent of white bedsheets with a gridded Profoto head on the left and right, and a third head beneath the table, which was translucent white plexi, shining up for bottom-lighting. I wish I had taken a shot of the setup, but I was in a hurry and forgot.

Oh, and the back flap of the tent I made so it could open up to varying degrees to show more or less of a black background I had behind the whole thing so I could control the reflections.

FB and a stream of conscious conversation Led to Bedsheets then a memory of me using them as a child for SuperMan capes. Bouncing from hotel bed to hotel bed (Wait...was that John at 7 or did that happen last night).

Any Whoo....My esthetic is QuiltyFitted. My point of view is frilly tomboy urban so I dug up some leather.

My grand parents' house in the country where as a child I would spend my summer holidays... Wonderful memories like catching fireflies and putting them in a jar and using as a lantern under the bedsheets. I would look at the stars in the night from the window while I could hear the train passing at a distance through the village. When a car would come on the road , the headlights would flash on the bedroom walls and as it would approach the noise would be louder and the light would travel around the room then the sound would die to silence. In the morning, our sheepdog "noireau" (blacky) would climb the stairs, jump on the bed and drag the covers off to get us up while downstairs my granny was already busy with her daily chores . There was always a smell of homemade meals in the kitchen. Her patience to pick up wild (and huge) bleuberries in a pale ( used to milk the cows ) was amazing. She then would make those fantastic cakes ! She would hide apples in the hay, with the sunrays going between the barn wood planks it would get warm and they would ripe faster. Nothing would beat harvest time when we would sit on the top of the wagon overflowing with fresh hay, what a view it was like sitting on the top of the world LOL ! At Christmas and New Year's day, we would hope that the snowplow would pass on time to open the road because their was always lots and lots of snow in winter ! All the relatives would drive distance to share in the festivities. Uncle and aunts all nicely dressed would kneel on the kitchen floor in front of my grandfather as he would give his "bénédiction paternel" ( father's blessing ) . We kids had our own table to eat with our cousins. There would be music and dancing late in the evening with traditional and modern music (Elvis and Buddy Holly to chansons à répondre québecoises ). I could go on but feel sorry for kids that are growing only in the city . I myself now live in a rural area and love it . I guess the saying still stand : " You can get people out of the country but you cannot take the country out of peoples " . Anyway my uncle who now owns the house, changed the windows to more "modern" aluminium ones, the good thing is they now close and open easely. LOL !

This is the gorgeous, mad fun, up for jumping around a field in the wind, Mayce

so unoriginal and so grainy, but sometimes I feel like a ghost, haunting this bed.

The pink and red bedding is made by Ziestha a new brand I have added to the family (see my profile for info)

The colours are really really beautiful in real life. So rich and deep - and impossible to photograph!

Naiara and my bedsheets have some kind of color scheme going on, haha.

Dedicated to the lovely Lindsey Tran who I flickrmailed earlier on this week. She is just as friendly as other people make her out to be.

Not really my style, but it's worth a shot.

Another fun session with Katrina. This jump has almost become her signature, so I thought it would be fun to use a similar set-up as I used for Spider Shadow.

It took about a dozen tries to get the right positioning for each appendage, but it was worth it.

PSE6

I was going through the files and found this one. I had meant to get it edited and up earlier.

I used the healing tool in NX2 to remove the creases in the sheet. I don't think it was meant for that, but it did a great job. MUCH easier then cloning in PS/PSE. I wanted the background to have some texture, so I left in the gentle ripples.

I do use PSE6 on all my images to resize for PowerPoint (and Flickr) and to add any text.

All of my bedsheets have something on them! I have completely given up on adult bedsheets!

Also, yes! That is a wall of stuffies! I love hugging all of my stuffies when I sleep!
